No kidding... Seemed like 2/3 of the stadium had fans, the ones that were their either booed or left with 4 minutes to go. Some kind of loyalty. I remember the Northern Arizona game when we came ahead with two minutes to go. We were behind by two touchdowns or so, as I remember. We stayed, we cheered, we conquered!!!
I hope NCAA choked on their reason to have that playoff game at denny/grizz stadium. I am sure they didn't make as much $$$ as they had hoped.

obviously a fan who is not experienced with the playoffs wouldn't really understand the logistics. first round attendance is always low because of thanksgiving break and such. the attendance hovers around 16,000-17,000 which is low for the griz (but would be a landmark attendance record for the cats!)bobcatmaniac wrote:No kidding... I am more experienced with National Championships than you are. What is your experience for all the supposed "fans" leaving the game????tacoma_griz wrote:obviously a fan who is not experienced with the playoffs wouldn't really understand the logistics. first round attendance is always low because of thanksgiving break and such. the attendance hovers around 16,000-17,000 which is low for the griz (but would be a landmark attendance record for the cats!)bobcatmaniac wrote:No kidding... I am sure they did. We only expected about 16K at the game. You might check the attendance of the other playoff games. No one sold more tickets than the Griz, proving once again that we are the premier facility/fan base in the country.

The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

No doubt about that. But a distinct decline in quality has been seen at WA/Griz this season... from the team to the fans...Eastcoastgriz wrote:

It just seems to me that there were/are a whole lot of bad vibes (to use a hippie term) coming out of MSLA. I personally like that way.
"Come play at UM Jimmy, as you can see we have one of the biggest and loudest stadiums in IAA... it's especially loud when all of our world-class fans are booing your ass!"

So you guys are like the "Yankees of D1-AA" you just buy everything and have a ton of bandwagon fans? Sounds like it.Eastcoastgriz wrote: I hope NCAA choked on their reason to have that playoff game at denny/grizz stadium. I am sure they didn't make as much $$$ as they had hoped.[/quote]
