Just curious- does anyone else take a “Foley walk”?
I pace a lot, but I'm not leaving my house. Have been known to turn off the TV and head out to the shop to listen on radio so my toddler doesn't repeat the words I use. I've never gone around the block mid-game though.

With NDSU knocked out of the playoffs, is there more pressure to win it all this year? I feel it. If we make it to the semi-finals and get knocked out by the Griz and they go on to win it all, that would be the worst feeling. This post has a little instant reaction feelings. I’m not as confident after this weekend’s games.

Two questions:
1. Other than the Cats, which team in the field would you most like to see win the championship? I say Davis because it would be great to see the Big Sky bring home the title and Tim Plough is my favorite coach not named Brent Vigen.

2. If you played Taylee Chirrick 1:1 could you score a point before she scored 10 on you?

Buy or sell: the NDSU loss is the beginning of a death spiral for the program.

1. If you are Vigen, only having the knowledge we have from the videos. How do you handle the interaction with Davis?

2. Does Vigen's part of the interaction with Davis this affect his chances of getting other jobs?

3. What is your level of confidence that the coaching staff can contain the obvious problems from this game? (Play calling, effort, and attitude)

Good question on impact of Vigens job options. Have not seen that discussed much

If I’m searching for a coach, that video does nothing positive for Vigen. I think it has serious impacts for this season. By next year, it’s old news. However, when you search Vigen now, that’s popping up all over the place.

1. Tell him we won the game and not to blow up at your head coach over a request/order to join the team, especially after the heated back and forth between the teams leading up to and during the game.

2. Only if he's being hired by some HR manager and not an athletic department.

3. This game was the wake up call the team needed to re-focus and go on a run to Nashville.

Was this Yale game the equivalent of Cat Griz game from 2021 which lit the fire under the Cats for the run to the championship.

You are half correct.

Guesses were B, C or D and the answer is A - 88 Beers....only 23.5%!

For Totals - @CelticCat doubles up @Common Cat:
Thorny has had 48 Montana Beers
Foley has had 24 Montana Beers
Zack has had 17 Montana beers which is, by percentage, #1. (17 of 28 = 60%)

@CelticCat Don't tell Foley he can drink Pale Ales! Are you nuts??? Since Foley stopped drinking pale ales we've beat the Gris in Missoula for the first time in 7 years and NDSU lost out in the second round. It's obviously working! Change nothing!!! :D

Buy. They're going to spiral all the way down to the 2nd tier with the MT schools and SDSU. From now on they'll go into the playoffs with only an 75% chance of making the championship game instead of 95%.

@Common Cat I have to take exception with your displeasure of the defense and the way it's called and putting Howe (not on the hot seat but...).
We are number one or two defense in the Big Sky in nearly every metric. If it wasn't for the defense pitching a shutout for over 3 qtrs of the Yale game Cats do not win. The second score was the Offense putting the Cats in a bad situation. Your love affair with the blitz is misguided. Teams that blitz usually do so because they can't get there without it and thus putting the backend in jeopardy. Cats don't need to. The numbers might not be there, but the eye test says otherwise. NDSU has won a ton of football games employing this strategy. Keep everything in front of you and wait for a negative play or a mistake and then pounce. We are not the gris that rely on splash plays, we are a sound football team and I think your negativity is incorrect. Why would we dramatically change the way we play as a defense in the playoffs?

Thank you for talking sense into me, can't change anything now, what was I thinking?

I might agree that the Cats don’t need to blitz ( at least heavily). But to the degree Bobby Daly did is what I’m looking for. If our secondary can cover, what’s it to bring one more? You hear coach say it every Monday- they need to disrupt the qb. As Zack said last episode, we haven’t been getting home as much.
