So, Adam Jones in one season has two of the four longest runs in Bobcat history.
And as a redshirt freshman too?

-added FG makes in a season, sansted is close with 12 makes
-added Team, total offense YPG in a season.
-added QB completion % season, Tommy is #1.
-Rohan Jones is now in the top 10 for receiving TD's in a season.
-Taco is now #1 for punt return yards in a season.
-What is the freshman record for rushing yards in a season? Adam Jones has to be close or maybe has the record now?

Ifanse had 1,025 yards as a freshman, although I'm not sure if that's the record either. Adam should pass that pretty easily during the playoffs.

Hi @mslacatfan -

Should Taco be on the Punt Return Season list for 2023? It appears he had 379 yards at the end of last year. Did he redshirt in 2022 and get his 4 games + playoffs and that is why he didn't get on the list for 2022 or 2023? I am not sure where to look this up myself. Thanks!

he had his first year in 2022, putting up some big numbers. Only played a handful of games in 2023 due to an injury (preserving his redshirt btw).

His 2022 season/numbers made the top 10 season list as well.

With a win today, MSU QB Tommy Mellott and head coach Brent Vigen will have twice as many wins (6) as any QB/HC before them.

With 72 yards rushing Adam Jones will have 1,000 yards rushing, giving MSU two players (Scottre Humphrey) with 1,000 yards rushing in one season.

With a TD run today Mellott would be on the second (Cody Kirk) player in MSU history with 40 rushing TDs.

Scottre Humphrey has 1,223 rushing yards this season (>100 per game). He is 400 yards away from the school single-season record.

UT Martin update

-Scottre- moved into the top 10 rushing yards/season list.
-Scottre- 9 100 yard games in a season, is tied for first place. also moved into the career top 10 list.
-Adam Jones- now has 1,000+ career rushing yards
-Taco- moved into the top 10 recieving TD's in a season list, joining Rohan with 8.
-Tommy- 50 career touchdown passes, and 26 TD passes this season is 3rd all time..... not bad for a guy who "can't pass".
-Taco- Now has the most career punt return yards..... and oh by the way, he is only a sophomore.

Side note- The max number of Emoji's (little thumbs up guy) you can have in a post is 25.... so I had to remove a couple of them, I pulled them off some of the team top 10 lists. Anyway, all the bolded players/stats should be updated and accurate.

What a game! cant wait for Friday! Go Cats!!! 13-0!!!!!!!

5 TD’s has happened 5 times. 4 has happened like 20 times. Kind of a weird top 10 list…

So if Vigen wins the Natty, that will be the game he passes Sonny Holland for career wins.

Also, somebody correct me, but Tommy is now tied with Dave Dickenson for playoff wins.

Seems correct. Dave was injured his sophomore and junior seasons but I think it was during the playoffs his junior year. They lost first game his sophomore year but I don’t think he played due to injury.

The Cats have now set a record for wins in a single season and tied the record for consecutive wins.

Vigen has a better playoff record than Böbbé.

At 6-3, that's 66.7%. Böbbé's record is 18-12, which is 60%. Böbbé also has three first-round losses.

I believe Colter stated that with 1 more win the Bobcats will be tied with most wins by a Big Sky Team in a single season. That's pretty awesome when you start thinking about records on the whole conference level and not just school records. Been a special season that hopefully we all realize and enjoy!

UM went 15-1 in 2001. He may have meant it will tie the best undefeated record of all time? UM was 14-0 in 2009 before losing in the championship game. For some reason the Wiki page that has the all-time BSC standings doesn't list the 2009 season and still doesn't have 2023.

Hauck is 7-6 and Ash is 2-7 unless the 2011 loss comes off his record. The loss in 2011 doesn't come off MSU's record. MSU has been showing UM with 75 wins, while UM shows itself with 74. It's just another screwy thing the NCAA does. A team forfeits a game, but the other team doesn't get the win. That, in turn, just makes it look stupid.

Seems reasonable not to count 2011 as a loss for Ash but it doesn't count as a win either. He would then be 2-6 with an asterisk. Seems that if um didn't win, MSU didn't lose, but didn't win either. Pretty much like the game never happened.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.
