The follow-up article for the Cat game is absolutely absurd.
1. Cat article: 167 words
2. griz article: 795 words + boxscore
3. TWICE the Cats were referred to as the "Bears"
4. The entire Cat article included write-ups for the PSU-ISU game, the EWU-UNC game, and the Utah-Wyoming game. ALL of which were longer than the Cat write-up.
5. The Wyoming write-up in the Cat-titled article was about 3 times as long as the one for the Cats.
6. The picture for the article was of the Wyoming game.
What a joke!
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Jack Rolovich completed 16 of 34 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns to lead Montana State over Sacramento State 21-18 on Saturday night.
The Bobcats led 21-0 at halftime before withstanding a Sac State comeback in the second half.
Senior receiver Donnell Wheaton scored on a 69 pass from Rolovich in the first quarter and caught a key 52-yard pass late in the fourth, as the Bears (4-3, 3-1 Big Sky) won their third straight game and third road game of the season.
Michael Jefferson caught seven passes for 111 yards and one touchdown for Montana State.
Sacramento State's safety Brent Webber collected his fifth interception of the season in second quarter, and Juan Gamboa kicked a 47-yard career-best field goal in the third period for the Hornets (2-4, 2-2).
Montana State's Jeff Hastings' school record of consecutive field goals ended at eight when the place kicker missed a 45-yard attempt in the first quarter.
The Bears' defense held Sacramento State to 117 total offensive yards.

I hadn't noticed the gaffes. I never read the Gazette article as it's been my experience they just copy and paste the AP release.
It's funny, in a way. But at the same time it makes you realize the Gazette will only get it right once the Cats start winning. For that matter, they won't even care if they get it right until the Cats start winning.
I know, I know... they've won the last three, but you all know what I mean.

Maybe Kusek should write an article on how THE BEARS are scared of MSU-Billings, and how THE BEARS should schedule to play basketball.
Two great articles from the Gazette Sports page today. That's great to see our tax dollars at work churning out stellar UM Journalism school graduates.

Speaking of Billings. I watched the Channel 8 news tonight. They carry the Cat games. Well at midnight for this weeks game. Anyway, they did not even have a feature on the Cats. They had the Griz. You would think they would support the Cats since their station is covering the games. Cats get no respect.
