At least the Big Human sacked up and said that this was his worst game (personally). Sounds like he's shouldering the blame, which is good (and right).

I guess saying that "he's not real careful" and "he augers it into the other team's players" are meant to be complimentary.

I think those things should be kept to the locker room.

 I would argue that UC-Davis was MUCH worse.

I think he's trying to protect his assistant coaches, although as the special teams coach, he is correct in saying he had a bad game. Oh well, much better to have a bad game and win than a good game and lose.

Kramer:

"We couldn't punt- I'm the special teams coach, my fault, we'll work on that".

Mason was fatigued- he is a freshman.

Penalties- still too many, especially by vets (Peder Jensen again).

All in all, a road win.

Still questions about why Groves wasn't played at all, Mason being tired seems kinda odd to me, who knows though. Taito played better than I have seen him play so far this season, he was hitting the holes harder than earlier in the season. Rolovich needs to settle down and with that arm I think he'll be unstopable, he just tries to force way too many passes. A win is a win, gotta keep the wagon rolling, GO CATS next week, time to get some sleep.

It sounds like Clive Lowe just had the wind Knocked out of him. That is great news.

Didn't sound like any serious injuries, which at this point in the season is always good.

Do you think part of his "sacking up" will prove to be that he prematurely benched Mason thinking they had the game in the bag?

I am at Tiny's Tavern and see the Cats go up 21-0. I proceed to leave the bar and do my drinking elsewhere. I go home and immediately log on to bobcatnation and am scared to death. The Cats almost loose this game? Being slightly intoxicated I have to wonder is this the coaching staff we want at MSU. I guess we at least finally won one of these games we are supposed to. The Griz almost got beat aswell. Still a good day and it is a good thing we have talent because without that we wouldn't be where we are. Go Cats.

Credit the defense for the win-they played awesome.

Special teams was an absolute joke.

Offense was good in the first half-terrible in the second. I starting to think we need Corey Carpenter to get well real fast. Rolovich completely collapsed in the second half-except for that last pass completion-which Kramer said was total luck. He said both the quarterback and receiver ran the play wrong-I guess those 2 wrongs made a right.

Better be a lot better at ISU or we will be in trouble-hopefully the defense can keep us in it.
We need a new full time special teams coach. Kramer is not getting the job done. He should be fired as special teams coach. Get rid of that stupid roll out punt. We do not have Lulay this year. We have some good kickers on the team, let them handle the normal punting duties. If Kramer was coaching the special teams, he should not have to worry about a big play or return. The difference between the Cats and the Griz are the special teams. Griz win many closes games because their special teams make one or two big plays each and every game. When was the last time we had great play from our special teams.

Is it that damn hard to find a REAL punter for a college football team? I would pray to God we cana at least attempt to go after one in the off-season. I mean, shi*, I know plenty of students who can punt and would do it.

Tyler Bolton punted a real punt once this season against EWU or maybe UCDavis. He absolutely drilled a beautiful spiral punt in one of those early home losses. He can kick the hell out of the ball in a traditional sense. Let him do it!

As I've said before, the fact that he said that Mason was taken out because he was "tired" is one part of his comments that really puzzled me. By "sacking up", I mean that he took the blame for the poor performance and didn't throw anybody else under the bus. Being in charge of the special teams, his comments were exactly on point.

You guys fumbled a kickoff return that allowed NAU to get within 3 and almost cost you the game. I'd say your day wasn't that great either, even with the blocked punt.
