Any News on Carpenter injury?

Post by Catdad39 » Sat Oct 07, 2006 8:36 pm

I live in Cheney and just watched the Griz dismantle Eastern. I am a Bobcat fan so I wondered what happened to Cory. Sounds like the Bobcats were pretty impressive. Why did Jefferson only catch 2 balls?

Carpenter tried to run the ball on a botched handoff (bad snap if I remember correctly), and suffered a high ankle sprain.

We didn't throw the ball Jefferson way much today. He did drop one ball, but mostly was covered very well. They keyed on him, methinks. Wheaton caught 9 balls instead.

ESPN.com reported that Cory will miss 2-3 weeks with his high ankle sprain. Sorry to see anybody get injured, but I think this will end up helping the O. Rolovich just looks like the better QB, but definitely not the better Punter.

I am sure PSU saw Jefferson had 239 yards against NAU so they put the best cover guy they had on him.

It is to bad Carpenter was injuried but Rolovich will do well in his absence.
