Seems to be happening a little more often. Does that mean Coach Herrin gets an extra semester with these guys?TomCat88 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 3:18 pmChance Wilson did it.nanacat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 2:51 pmSo is Dahlke graduating early? Must have enough high school credits to do that? You don't hear of that happening alot, or at least I haven't. Good athlete, good student, just what you want!TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 7:00 pmYeah, I think Dahlke, who's enrolling next semester, and Linder will be good early. The out of state guys are a little more difficult just because it's hard to stay posted on a weekly basis.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 6:25 pmI know that it’s pointless, and we won’t know for a couple years……. But any initial guesses at ranking this class? Top 10 list?
I think it’s pretty loaded, but have a feeling that Linder will be an absolute stud, and the gem of this class.
The QB looks like an incredible athlete. Lots of them look more than capable of becoming good players.

Been a crazy year for me so I haven't watched a ton of hs football..... what I'll say is I've never met a steptoe that couldn't ball... let me ask around and see what I can come up withRockyBearCat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 8:50 amI like seeing the nice tall DBs. If they can compete with our current DB room with speed, they will be spectacular.
@BobcatBuiltTexan What do you know about Steptoe?

Bump
Took me quite a while to find this because I couldn’t remember the title, but just the subject.
Moderator is there anyway we can make this sticky as we’ve got a lot of spring football to talk about over the next few months?

As we talk about recruits needed, and that are incoming, it’s nice to have a quick reference, helps me memorize names and positionsClowderUp wrote: ↑Thu Jan 15, 2026 11:50 amcat-o-nine's summary:

Hurst seems like he has size to play right away in a rotation

Just bumping this up for Wednesday. Obviously, two players committed right now and I suspect there may be one more out of Texas.

There might be a surprise in the group, but I'm guessing if there were any transfers we'd know about them by now, especially if they were enrolled in school now.
MSU - 17 team National Champions (most recent 2025); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Signing Day, Wednesday, 4 February 2026
I don't know why anyone would take a walk on offer at a P4 school over a full ride at a top FCS school with the option to transfer after two years with three to play. Just seems like you're apt to never see the field at the P4 in the first two years and not develop much.

That Wyoming kid, Luke Talich, passed on an MSU full ride for a PWO to Notre Dame and has played every year since he was a Freshman. He is probably one of the exceptions though.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:15 pmI don't know why anyone would take a walk on offer at a P4 school over a full ride at a top FCS school with the option to transfer after two years with three to play. Did any of this years high school signees graduate early from high school to enroll at MSU early? I feel like I heard about at least one of the Montana kids doing that, but now I can't find which one

Awesome, thanks. Hopefully getting him in for spring ball this year will jump start his development.AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 9:08 pmDahlkeblueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 5:49 pmDid any of this years high school signees graduate early from high school to enroll at MSU early?
