OK the Cats have stunk for three games in a Road. No one likes it.
But, do you think there might be something to the Cats actually being better on the Road this year. Maybe too much distraction, anxiety, anticipation at home? And now injuries too.
I haven't seen them in person (and still can't get BigskyTV to work) so I can't judge for myself. What I do know is that, in years past, that every time that the Cats get a decent poll ranking, that they proceed to stink.
So this year started out with a huge road win, a good poll ranking, sold out season tickets for the first time in years, etc. Let's face it, high expectations are just not the 'Cats style. Clawing back from a deep hole is more likely to happen than having a consistently good season. Being a Bobcat fan is not easy.
I'm trying to find something optimistic (and a reason to even pay attention to the rest of the season). And even in another embarrasing loss, at least it wasn't another complete wipe-out.
Better on the Road?----maybe Too much Anticipation???

Watching our coaches/players put in the effort to get better and improve this year should be worth watching I would think. I mean isn't that the true essence of competition and sports?BOISE_CAT wrote: I'm trying to find something optimistic (and a reason to even pay attention to the rest of the season). I think the Cats over looked Chadron State after the upset of CU. Then having been beat by a DiV II team the team wanted to get a win over UCD. Everyone tried to win the game by themselves so they had no team play. EWU things started to turn around but the team made some mental mistakes but were on the right track.
I thought Carpenter looked settled in the pocket. Didn't try to force the ball or through to a covered receive when he got pressured. He looked very comfortable. Mason being able to run on the ground took some of the pressure off as well.
The defensive scheme worked well the first half. We didn't seem to have the answer in the second half until NAU's final possesion.
We definitly have the talent on this team to be one of the top BSC team just need to fine tune it a little bit and get more experience at QB.
