Game Day Traditions
I am normally one of the first ones to be set up along with my friend Mark from Great Falls on game day mornings to Tailgate, but have yet to make a game yet this year. The Weber game will be the first.
Flag poles up,Tents up, fire on, and food tables ready and then a morning cocktail or beer.
New rules make it harder to get set up as early as I like. So Saturday I’d like to find a place that has the best Caesars on game day. Anybody have suggestions?
I like spectators, but come game day. They usually have pre-mixed Caesars and just aren’t made with the care that they normally would be.
Anyone have any suggestions?
What are your traditions come game day whether you are in Bozeman at the stadium or some distant far away place?

Go to the RBAR at 8:00. They'll make you a great Caesar.

Lots open 4hrs prior to kick off this year. Seems to be plenty of time to get primed up for the game.
We have a reserved spot north of Kagy. I’d sure like to spend the night in my truck camper after the UCDavis game. I doubt we’d be allowed to but I bet folks will just do it anyways.

Used to be just fine to stay the night before or the night after a game. But since parking took over the Fieldhouse lot, they do a poor job lock you out don’t collect garbage reduce the number of our houses, etc. It was better when all of it was handled by Athletic facilities94VegasCat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 4:49 pmLots open 4hrs prior to kick off this year. Ps
Like to be set up early because we cook have fires etc. not just about the drinking. But would love to get a good Caesar in the morning before setting up or right after setting up close by. Spectators usually has good ones but on game day mass produces them in the Lack their usual luster.

Gotta ask, what is a Caesar? Guessing we are not talking about salads.

They asked the same question in Huntsville, Texas when we played Sam Houston State. A Caesar is like a bloody Mary except for made with Clamato and usually quite a bit spicier. A loaded Caesar has extra pickles, peppers, meat, sticks, cheeses, etc..
I don’t post pictures very often so I forget how to attach them. AFCat usually reminds me how. I’ll have to look back in my notes.
This site is a little lengthy, but pretty good explanation with options and recipes.

A well made Caesar on a football Saturday or Sunday is an absolute delight and a culinary experience. You are probably a Mich ultra drinker aren't you?
My one tradition is on Cat/Griz morning I drink something big, and dark like a coffee stout or a bourbon barrel aged beer. It usually goes well with the weather those days.

Nothing better than a few spicy ceasars before Cat playoff games!
Ceasars and Bloody's are still damn good at the Cats Paw

I just really hate Clamato juice. Do like a good Bloody Mary though! Haven’t had a Michelob in years, I like my beers to have some taste to them!Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 10:38 amA well made Caesar on a football Saturday or Sunday is an absolute delight and a culinary experience. You haven't been able to drink 17 beers since 2003 when you were going after the shot gunning some beers record (that didn't exist).

With you there on the beers. I have a couple of Kirkland Barrel Aged in the fridge waiting for Saturday. Actually I can do one per day…Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 10:38 amA well made Caesar on a football Saturday or Sunday is an absolute delight and a culinary experience. It's made by Deschutes just like the Helles Lager Costco has. Its no Hunahpu's or Abraxas but for what it is, it's not bad. I think the 2024 version was better than the new one.coloradocat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 3:16 pmIs this a real beer? The Lager is one of the best deals in beer. A GABF winning beer in a 12 pack for $13 is killer.

Thanks. I've seen the Kirkland beer but never pulled the trigger. I might have to give it a shot.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 3:34 pmIt's made by Deschutes just like the Helles Lager Costco has. Its no Hunahpu's or Abraxas but for what it is, it's not bad.
