I believe he was a junior when CMR won the state championship in 2009, so me must have redshirted at MSU in 2011, and been active from 2012-15. It was 2014 when he filled in for Prukop against the griz, and threw five picks. I always felt bad for him, that he's probably most remembered for that one nightmare game, because he had a few a few very good games during his career, and was a very capable backup QB.Montanabob wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 11:59 amwhen did Snake Bleskin play?

Bleskin led MSU to a big win over Idaho State in 2014. That game is on YouTube and it's a great game if you have time to burn. Brekke was playing with the flu and had a big TD late. Bleskin through a couple early picks but rebounded and was the driving force for the offense that day. Eyron Barnett, a 4-star db transfer from Univ. of Texas had a big pick. He and Prukop had a great duel for the QB job going into 2014.John K wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 5:06 pmI believe he was a junior when CMR won the state championship in 2009, so me must have redshirted at MSU in 2011, and been active from 2012-15. I suppose after a lot of reflection and prayer...he's getting more money than we can offer. He better be good because Sac looks like they are gathering a bunch of high profile "recruits" that might be disposable if they don't bring immediate results. He's from California anyhow...good riddance! He'll probably transfer 4 times until he graduates.

I swear to god, these stupid Twitter posts about prayer and reflection by recruits or anybody for that matter, is starting to make my fandom wain. There is absolutely no honor, integrity, and courage with my generation and especially the younger generation anymore. It’s sickening and has turned into a cess pool of entitled senseless wannabes. Have fun in California, your true home, with that high class educational institute.Helcat72 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 5:18 amI suppose after a lot of reflection and prayer...he's getting more money than we can offer. It always seemed unlikely that he would make it all the way to fall camp 2026. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't in Sac by then either. This has to be a pure money play but I would think most of the money will dry up there now that they are stuck in no man's land.

I think Marion’s Go Go scheme is pretty appealing to QB’s too. We’ll be fine.

Already gone from Boise to msu to sac…. And he is still in highschool. Hahahaha

No kidding. It’s just not that big of a deal that someone should think they need to hide behind a god or anything else. I’m so tired of athletes or anyone invoking a god into their statements on sports or whatever. Please have a personal relationship with things like that.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 6:13 amI swear to god, these stupid Twitter posts about prayer and reflection by recruits or anybody for that matter, is starting to make my fandom wain. I have no problem with invoking God…if you actually made decisions based on Christian convictions. I am skeptical that is the case here, but I don’t know the young man. I’d bet it has more to do with moolah thoTomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 6:58 amNo kidding. Well, it’d be refreshing if someone said it was for the money. A little Allen Iverson honesty. The god stuff is just nauseating. Even if you’re a devout religious person I would think these statements would be annoying. Seems like a convenient excuse. It’s a simple life decision like deciding to have corn flakes instead of rice Chex.JoeCatsJoe wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:16 amI have no problem with invoking God…if you actually made decisions based on Christian convictions. It's always a bit eye-rolling when someone cites 'God's plan' as the reason for a decommitment—most people can see through that kind of statement. Realistically, this looks like a financial decision. Otherwise, it’s hard to understand why someone would choose a mid-tier FCS program that’s now without a conference. Sac State is staring down a tough schedule in the future—likely four home games, seven road games, and at least a couple matchups against FBS teams that will overpower them. Unless they somehow resolve the uncertainty around their move to FBS, I wouldn’t be surprised if a significant portion of the roster enters the transfer portal after this season.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:23 amWell, it’d be refreshing if someone said it was for the money. Exactly, unless they have a plan to pay a lot of money for FCS schools to play at Sac, without a conference, their future FCS scheduling is going to be a nightmare. The Butcher wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:34 amIt's always a bit eye-rolling when someone cites 'God's plan' as the reason for a decommitment—most people can see through that kind of statement. I understand saying they prayed about it as that does help religious people with guidance and decisions. It is a form of reflection. I don't understand that it is God's plan or path.

I don’t think dismissive is the word you’re looking for. Try critical. Not using the correct words can be annoying too. I used to be pro-God, so I can say that it would bother me if someone was saying god wants me to play football at a particular school.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:30 amIt's more annoying when anti-God people are so dismissive.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:23 amWell, it’d be refreshing if someone said it was for the money. If I was being dismissive I would’ve just said he’s an idiot because god doesn’t exist. I didn’t say his religious beliefs are stupid, I said he’s invoking them in the wrong setting.
