Re: Indoor facility
This is no laughing matter, I'm hearing that sabotage is suspected and that Bobcats may be involved. I was just sent some surveillance video that supports this.

Nothing to see here. Just an automatic sky light opening to relieve all the hot air from the grisslies.

Re: Indoor facility
One major challenge is that the Fargodome is owned by the City of Fargo. In the most recent election, a proposed sales tax increase to fund significant renovations was rejected by voters. As a result, NDSU has limited ability to pursue major upgrades to the facility. It’s a trade-off—you don’t have to worry about handling large-scale maintenance issues, but you’re also reliant on the city for any substantial improvements.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 9:03 amThe FargoDome is right across the street from NDSU's football facility. With the new IPF MSU is definitely at the same level as SDSU and NDSU in terms of overall facilities, UM is right up there too depending on how much you care about their bubble compared to the permanent structure the others have built.CodyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:42 amI don’t know. I think MSU is in the top tier. SDSU’s is really nice and probably the best. Yes, the gris have a condom for the IPF but their stadium and champions center are are nice. What about schools I don’t know much about? Tarleton, schools in the hcbu’s? NDSU’s has tremendous facilities but I don’t think they are centered together.

Re: Indoor facility
I've always been curious about the revenue splits the city of Fargo and university get from football games in the dome. Does the university have to pay for turf replacement or anything else football related or does the university just pay for rent and that's it? Anyway, you're right, having a city owned property like that could be a mixed bag for the university or it could be very lucrative as well. The Butcher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 15, 2025 8:30 amOne major challenge is that the Fargodome is owned by the City of Fargo.
