Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll land on a team in the AFC/NFC West or NFC North so he's on tv more often.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
If I remember correctly- didn’t he get hurt on like the very first play of his career, freshman year (against Oregon state or something)? I remember the coach talking about it later, that he messed up his shoulder or something on his very first snap, but kept playing anyway…. I could be wrong.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 8:46 amProbably just his frosh year when he wasn't playing full-time. I know he hurt his ankle as a soph. Junior year he missed Cat-Griz game. Seems like he missed time his senior year mid-season.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 8:25 amA new team/fresh start might be best at this point…. Even going back to his msu days, did he ever have a fully-healthy season? Super bad luck with injuries. Article below-

I don't remember the details, but that sounds right now that you mention it. Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Saw this on the Falcons mailbox blog...
What is the condition of Troy Andersen & will he be playing this next season?
Appreciate the question, Leslie, and I thought this would be a good one to address with camp a few weeks away. While Andersen hasn't been mentioned by name in a few weeks, this quote from Raheem Morris about Kyle Pitts’ status in early June gives us a pretty good indication.
"We're going to be extremely cautious with him," Morris said. "We had a couple of people like that. We don't have them out there that we're extremely cautious with that we know are here and have been a part of everything."
I think Andersen would fall under that label of "extremely cautious." He is still working his way back from injury, and the Falcons have better depth in place at inside linebacker around him. They can afford to be patient with Andersen. While I do fully expect him to play at some point in 2025, and perhaps even in Week 1, I wonder if his role will be a more refined one.

The baseball player that Troy reminds me of hit for the cycle today and is going to the all star game for the first time.

2nd appearance for Byron...but I get your point.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Ouch! Big miss on my part. I think I got confused when they said first cycle at Target Field.
For those wondering, we're talking about Twins centerfielder Byron Buxton. Buxton has a list of 34 injuries over his career. He's one of the most athletic, talented players the Twins have ever had but never gets a healthy full season. He's been relatively injury-free this season and is hitting. 280 with 20+ homers. It was his bobblehead day yesterday called "Buck Truck" and he hit for the cycle. He added a leg to it by getting an infield single, along with a single to left, GR double, triple that most players would've only had a double and in his final at-bat crushed a homer to dead center. His dad was a truck driver, so when Buxton homers he does the truck horn move with his right arm mimicking pulling the cord on the truck horn in honor of his dad. Just a great guy, who's been through so much and it was very uplifting for Twins fans to see him have a game like. Buxton is just the 14th player in MLB history to go 5 for 5 and hit for the cycle in the same game. Probably the first with an IF single to go along with the other four hits. To put it in perspective there have only 24 perfect games in MLB history.
Anyhow, his athletic ability and talent (and injuries) remind me of Troy. Hopefully, Andersen will have some good luck with injuries and show the country what he can do.
