Had about 1,000 yards and 14 TDs this season. 6-3, 200. Good athlete. Very good basketball player.

As Matt Miller would say, he's a frisbee catching dog!

Such a good analogy.

My first cousin's nephew. Kid is a great athlete with big hops. 50/50 ball city. Being my cousin is a griz fan, this makes me damn happy. Welcome, Jaxan.

Those two having been playing together a long time. They didn't tip that off at all. Very cool. Lieberg family is huge, but I think Jaxan is Jared's son, and his mom is a really, really good long distance/marathon runner.

I played basketball against some of his older cousins. Really good dudes, fun to compete against. Since he was in like 7th grade, they were pumping him up as a really good athlete. Turns out, they were right!

“Don’t be scared, don’t be afraid, don’t even look at the score, just go out and start balling,” senior Jaxan Lieberg said. “That’s what we did.”
This is what I live for,” Lieberg said. “This is why I play sports – to come out with the brothers and go play. Have fun. Wins make it a lot more fun.”

I’d predict, he’ll be for real.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 9:19 amHe had 27 points a couple nights ago.

Dude looks like the missing Dowler brother. I think he’s going to be better than good. Welcome Jaxan.

Re: Jaxan Lieberg commits/signs
You don't see that very often in Montana HS basketball. Most dunks are uncontested. Rare to see someone simply take his man off the dribble and dunk over help defense. Granted, it appears he has about 4-5 inches on both defenders.

Good luck to a DB/S trying to out jump Jax in the end zone. Here's our next Kelly Davis.

How tall and how fast is he? Looks 6-3, 6-4. I guess I could look.PHAT CAT wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 6:14 pmGood luck to a DB/S trying to out jump Jax in the end zone. Here's our next Kelly Davis.

Edit: he's 6-3, 180 and ran an 11.8 100m last year. If he could get a little faster that would certainly help, but probably why he's not at Washington.

Re: Jaxan Lieberg commits/signs
Looks like he's switching his commitment to Carroll, possibly to play basketball instead?
First and goal, clock winding down. That's Humphrey! It's TOUCHDOWN MONTANA STATE!

I'm not terribly surprised, but I hope not. He's a great basketball player, too. And Catholic and from Helena, so I'm sure CC is giving him a good offer.

Re: Jaxan Lieberg commits/signs
I am pretty sure he had some family ties to Carrol as well. Maybe mom or older brother?
