Re: sagarin
You may have been answering your own question by pointing out the schedule numbers, but the Sagarin ratings have always been very heavily dependent on strength of schedule especially early in the season. It'll get even worse for the Bobcats after they play Mercyhurst even if MSU wins 70-0. IMO the Massey ratings do a lot better job of moving teams up or down depending on their results from each week of games.

Re: sagarin
Sagarin is the Mel Kiper of polls. Consistently bad, yet revered. Compare Idaho to Montana and tell me how Idaho is behind them. Both 1-1. Idaho has played two FBS, including one in the top 5. Is a 3 point loss to the the #23 fcs team better than a 14 point loss to the #3 fbs team? Is a 5 point win at home over a 4-7 (2023) fcs team better than a 4 point win on the road over a fbs team?
Amazing.
Amazing.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
