Kid who had a sneaky good game on Saturday? Hunter Parsons. He and Zac Crews have taken a step at DE.
As for the perceived lack of pressure, pressure was absolutely there when the QB had to operate under a normal drop back. UNM employed a heavy quick passing attack which meant we had to back off pressure. We actually ran a AA gap blitz with Danny and McCade the first play of the game and they threw a bubble to the outside for 15 yards. Again, we had no real feel for what they were going to run on offense and Bronco ran a lot of stuff throughout the game my goodness. Blew me away on rewatch how many formations they tossed out their on game 1. I actually came away impressed with our D on rewatch. We also played incredibly physical and were not outmatched at all in that department. Plenty to clean up but we rotated a ton on the DL. Don't love how much Danny and McCade played. Tells me that LB depth is still not there. Hope they use these next three games to give Bryce, Neil, and Cole meaningful reps. When Dru gets back, we can start resting Miles and Caden while also giving Rylan a breather a time or two. Tackling wasn't as bad as I thought it was while watching live.

Re: Game Replay?
Glad you said it about the DL pressure. I felt live, UNM was doing a lot to neutralize the pressure and avoid dropping back for more than a couple seconds. Grebe was doubled team a fair amount as well.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 9:42 pmKid who had a sneaky good game on Saturday? Hunter Parsons. He and Zac Crews have taken a step at DE.

I really appreciate your insight. I was concerned with his production and figured they just doubled Grebe all game, but your comments make complete sense.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 9:42 pmKid who had a sneaky good game on Saturday? Hunter Parsons. He and Zac Crews have taken a step at DE.

I agree with your take on Crews especially. I also thought Bryce Grebe flashed when he had a chance. These next couple of games will be fun to see how guys develop.

Definitely sneaky. No one ever talks about him, but I think that day is coming. Mentioned him on Colter’s podcast.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 9:42 pmKid who had a sneaky good game on Saturday? Hunter Parsons. He and Zac Crews have taken a step at DE.
