I think it's safe for a fan message board which has no impact on game results to overlook a terrible Cal Poly team. But you're right about Sac State, for some reason I had it in my mind that MSU played Idaho first and then Sac the next week.grizzh8r wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:51 pm...if MSU gets past Sacramento State first. One nice thing about it, weather shouldn't be a factor on the next two upcoming road trips Long term forecast for Sacramento is highs in the low 80's on the 14th.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:56 pmI think it's safe for a fan message board which has no impact on game results to overlook a terrible Cal Poly team. And weather (heat) has been a problem there before, but night game should help (doesn’t cool off much when sun goes down) if that’s the case. Being inland it can still hit the 90s in October. 80s will feel hot coming from Montana.allcat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 7:29 amSac is the 21stgrizzh8r wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 11:02 pmOne nice thing about it, weather shouldn't be a factor on the next two upcoming road trips Long term forecast for Sacramento is highs in the low 80's on the 14th.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:56 pmI think it's safe for a fan message board which has no impact on game results to overlook a terrible Cal Poly team. MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Around the FCS Week 5
I did a high speed rewatch of a couple games, including the Missoula game. The griz needed 2 interceptions, a fake punt at their own 45ish, and a trick play for a TD to beat Idaho State.
At home.
Yikes.

Re: Around the FCS Week 5
Assuming they beat UNCU and PSU (not a given), they will have to win 2 out of the 4 of UCD, Idaho, Sac State, and the Cats to make the playoffs. Which 2 do you see them winning?
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

So your saying they threw the kitchen sink at ISU, and they hadn't prepared for it. Seems like we heard something similar a week ago.

Re: Around the FCS Week 5
looking over at egriz, posters are mixed - some pessimistic after a so-so performance; Others saying gris are improving and all the remaining games are winnable. Fans can be up or down but gris season rides on next two games. They really have to win both games in my mind as the last three is a tough gauntlet. I don't see them beating Idaho but UCDavis is still an unknown. Lose both and they may end up 5-6 or 6-5 and no, that won't even get the high bidding Gris into the playoffs. But given all the parity, a 7-4 Gris team could get a playoff bid as the CAA is eating their young and there may be a lot of 6 and 7 D-1 win teams. Working against the Gris is they would only have 6 D-1 wins at 7-4. But UNI has gotten into the playoffs at least twice with only 6 D-1 wins. All depends on how you trend at the end and your brand. The Brand issue is always a question mark and it worked against us last year but MSU and UM both have a Brand so will have to see if it matters at the end.

FYI, for what it’s worth.....the team that just beat the #2 NDSU Bison at the Fargo Dome will host the #1 SDSU Jackrabbits on Oct 28....

Crazy that there are only 2 teams undefeated in conferenced play so early in the season. Can't imagine this has happened very many times over the years.

Oh, this I know. I like to emphasis the 'S' because it incenses the biSen loyalists. After all, BIson is spelled with an 'S', not a 'Z'.

griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.
