I feel bad I have forgotten about women's Basketball I since it is slow now and thing are getting back to normal I want to try to rectify that.
As I pointed out a couple days back, the spring recruiting period began last Wednesday. I think it is real important for coach Binford sign some quality athletes this spring. Last spring right after she was hired she put together a pretty impressive class albeit small, in a very limited amount of recruiting. This spring she will have a full year of recruiting behind her and some definite needs to fill. The team has some holes or weakness they need to address to be able to compete. We had no seniors, but may have to fill a few holes through attrition additionally we desperately need some quality depth. I really liked what I saw last year with a good recruiting class I think we can make a big jump next year and if we can string together two or three good classes we can be back on top.
With everything else happening with men's basketball I have not been keeping up with women basketball. Are there any women's basketball fans that could get us up to speed. I will try to find out what I can about recruiting.

Katie Proietti is happy playing tennis for the Bobcats.
Shannon Bosley has moved on to Carroll -- reasons unknown.
Brandy Buckless should be back from her injury.
So we are down two and up one, and with the two recruits announced last fall we're one player ahead of last year. In my humble opinion that would still leave us a player or two short, looking at the long benches we compete against.
Mslacat, if you can provide any insight into additional recruits, that would be awesome. I've been expecting something ever since Wednesday.

Krislyn sounds like a good athlete and great competitor, and we can use anyone willing to bring some fire. She's a downsize from Shannon by two inches, but her rebounding stats look good and we could sure use that.
The 38% shooting percentage last year is definitely a concern for an inside player, especially in "the Brick."
Welcome, Krislyn!
