Papich done?

Post by Born2BaGriz » Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:47 am

Not smack, looking for confirmation. I heard from a fellow student that Aaron Papich is done due to grade issues. If this is the case, it really bothers me as he is a great kid. I hope this is not true and somebody can tell me I'm very wrong.

I HOPE you are VERY WRONG here. I would hate to lose Papich. He has worked so hard the last 2 years to get where he is. Can someone confirm this?

Why wouldn't he be able to get back on the field by the fall? If he is ineligible now, doesn't he have another semester to get his grades up?

That is what I was thinking. I would really think that it wouldnt matter this semester.

No offense, longhorn, but that's the kind of comment I expect from griz fans, not us.

It SHOULD matter how our athletes are doing EVERY semester.

Gato,

yes it does matter, and Aaron is doing great in school, and eligible next spring. It is message board junkies(like the one who started this malicious thread) who need to get a clue.

Aaron is a model student, one all of MSU should be proud of.

That is great news, thank you Old Wise One. Glad to hear that our Student-Athletes are doing good.

Great News. I was finding that hard to believe because you can tell "Pappy" works very hard in what he does. He improved leaps and bounds in each of his last two years. If he keeps the improvement up he will be a STUD on the DL for his last 2 years.

The reason I asked it because a fellow MSU student who is from Great Falls told me that Papich was done. I don't know him other then what I have heard about him, and everything I have heard about him is great. I was looking for confirmation and I'm glad to hear that I was wrong.

Aaron is the kind of story you love to hear about. Mediocre student who walks on, works his tail off on the field, weightroom and classroom and does well.

I may dislike the Cats, but I support the kids. So I very happy to be wrong on this occasion. There is a first time for everything.

Old Wise One just said he's a great/model student. What makes you say he's a mediocre student? Make up your mind, do you support the kids or not?

He had grade issues prior, and model student may be just one who works hard and attends classes. His GPA may or may not be that great, but my hats off to him for his efforts.

Papich has come a long way on the field. If it were true that he had scholastic issues, the easy solution for the sophomore would be to finish his degree during the intersession in Missoula. He could then come back and work on a masters while finishing his Bobcat football career.

I meant that his grades of this last semester wouldn't matter next fall. I meant that if the grades come up, he should be playing. Sorry I didn't make myself clear.
