I just got back from watching the Women's team put on a show against Utah Valley State. We scored over 90 points, and really looked good. The game was never really in doubt, as we had a double digit lead for most of the game. Bozeman's Scotta Morton ended up with about 30. This is the first game that I've seen our women play this season, and needless to say I was pretty impressed.
Congrat's to Coach Binford and all of the girls on their first win of the season, now they have to wait about a week and a half before their next game.....so much for riding the momentum.

Congrats, Lady 'Cats!!
Hope we can keep saying that, but think we all know the program is a complete re-build from past issues and can maintain our patience until the program gets back on its feet. It will happen!

This was my first women's game of the season-I guess I picked the right one to go to.
Morton and Herriger don't need to pass it too often-they're where the points have to come from. Morton must have figured that out-scoring 28 points today! When they passed it around looking for a better shot they usually threw it away-so shoot it quick-a bad shot is better than no shot at all.
They did a nice job of breaking their press in the second half-and if not for some missed freethrows would have increased the lead.
I'm guessing this team's achilles heal is their defense. They had a hard time stopping the other team and they're a little weak on the defensive boards.
But they should keep getting better-and get their share of Big Sky wins-especially if Morton can keep it going.

It was an excellent effort and the Lady Cats certainly earned their victory. Congratulations, ladies. 92 points of offense is impressive for a women's team. Several players looked great tonight, especially Scotta Morton. Nubia Garcia, Amanda DeHaan, and Jenny Heringer all had great games. Of course, Heringer did all of this wearing a mask. But for now, this is a great win for the girls and they've got lots of time to get better in the next 2 weeks before their next game...against the Griz.
GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

Yep, Great game ladies! The team is getting better and better each and every week. They just need to play as a team like that (relax and not rush their shots) and they will improve even more this year. It is nice getting that first win out of the way and now they can focus on getting another win in their next game! WAY TO GO LADY CATS!
