Who and Where are These Players

Post by gtapp » Wed Oct 26, 2005 1:56 pm

Questions about players on the roster?

1. Chris Davis: Is he going to play this year?
2. How does Ryan Kelley look (Fr. RB)?
3. Who is Clayton Tunney (QB from CA)? (usually CA kids are not walk-on's)
4. Is Eddie Smith ever going to play?
5. Is Gathing at LB or RB or both?
6. Are Ashley and Mauia looking good? They are only on special teams.
7. Is Gazzero going to be a safety or LB?
8. I assume Anderson (LB from Fort Benton) is a walk-on.
9. They have Cerise at LB at 250 lbs as a freshman. Maybe DL next year?
10. Is Sean Neill a walk-on player?
11. Is Nolan Lee (transfer from Hawaii) still on the team?
12. Alex Lourdeaux is a fr WR from CA. He was not listed as a recruit yet again the CA kids are not usually walk-on's.
13. Is Matakis coming back or was his knee to damaged to play again?
14. Are they red-shirting Macciola? (I had heard that they planned to)
15. Is Matt Pebbles a walk-on? How does he look?

The only thing I can answer for sure is that Gazzerro will be a Safety.

You have got to be kidding me. What is up with the indecision - unless someone else is hurt?

Probably not indecision with Bass back and Groves improving (ace up the sleeve).

Don't forget that he is a special teams ace. He can hit hard.

Macciola is the player I've been unable to place all year. Does anyone know specifically what the deal is here?

1aafan stated that he was red-shirting. I had heard the same thing before the season started.

I am pretty sure that I have seen him on the field for a couple of plays. Not sure, but I think that it was against SFA. May have been ISU too. But it was only for a play or two. (Macciola)

Man, I thought coming in this kid was about 210 or less.

I believe that I've seen Maccolia in there. So I would guess he's not red shirting

Gathing is still at RB. It doesn't really matter if he practices at RB or LB. He won't see the field other than on special teams. Considering this is his senior year, it's really a moot point.

Cerise looks to be playing DE.

I asked coach Christoff about Macciola and he said he wasn't ready.

If that's the case, then he's not red-shirting. Just ask Zach Wolf how that works. One play, one season.

I don't think it is that black and white. Bolton played in one game last year and then got hurt and got his red-shirt (not a medical variety). I think it has something to do with conf games vs non-conf games. Not sure though.
