I'm new here so don't come down to hard on me, I think the cats can pull off a win in Wash. Why the cat offense is getting better all the time and is very potant, and how we will match up with them, rembering our but kicking last year our defence broke down, which happens offten in football if a team has a large lead like we did last year. The sense of urgency leaves a defense. Wash. is also so riddeld with injuries right now their depth has got to be minimal, were as we are starting to get our own injuries healed and our guys back, not so many serious injuries as EWE. The cats have two games Sac, and NAU to help get confidence back up and really work on some problems, and i belive Kramer will be doing just, it is also the big sky tons of football left upsets happen all the time, and that scares me the worst NAU beats cats because the cats look past them and look to the EWU game and the Griz game. The cats also have one hell of a heart burn still with last years game and don't think Lulay as competive as he is has forgoten. which for them must be scary and the cats last weekend showed a little life with the run game not much but better than earlier. Now our defence must get pressure on meyer which has not happend at all getting pressure to the quarter back this year or we will get picked apart. The way I see it right now the game will be one late be either the team that gets the special teams help or late turnorvers cats have one hell of a good chance to upset them, with the griz game it will be a thriller and close cats are at home so they should pull it off but funny things happen in that game, if the cats lose to NAU or Sac hard for me to think and say but we would not belong in the playoffs for the one reason it shows us being to inconsistan... Big Sky Football just gets better and we will have to wait and see.... which is tough but why I like it also.... GO CATS

I don't want to be too rough on you, but exactly how much did you drink before making that post? And what were you drinking? And where can I get some? :suds:

One thing.... the Cats better be taking "One Game at a Time" attitude towards NAU and Sac State. Too early to be thinking EWU... period. Take care of business first with NAU in a week.

I know that Lulay will not let the offense look past any team from here on out......I very concerned about the D though. We desperately need someone to step up on that side of the ball and take the leadership role. In that loss to PSU they look flat the whole game and did not show any intensity. If we can find a shred of a defense I feel very good about our chances :D , if not, it will be a long November for Cat fans.

Every game is THE most important game. Catfamily is absolutely right - we can't afford to look past anyone.

Does anyone have an update on our injuries?

Injuries: Bass will be back vs. NAU, so will Kolone, but he won't start. Lowe is healed up and will most likely start, but his 87-yr old grandmother just died. He lost his mom at a young age and his grandma raised him, so it is a big loss.
I think Ashley is back and Jevon Miller should be OK, but he had a high ankle sprain that could limit him. Chris Davis and Eddie Smith appear done for the year.

Some may say the EWU's defense is overrated but I believe some are looking back at the last couple of years anemic numbers. We are in the third year of a totally revamped system, with a new twist this year. We switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 in the same game. In the two common opponents we held ISU to fewer yards than MSU and most recent opponent PSU, EWU held them to 315 yards compared to 482 yards by MSU. I'm not bragging, just saying our D is much better than in the past and EWU have no misconceptions they plan on stopping Lulay...just score more points.

Comment was tongue-in-cheek. I wasn't referring to what you said, but the extremely disjointed way you typed it. I could hardly read it! No worries, though, just poking a little fun at the newbie.

BTW, my graphic is homemade. But thanks for the compliments!

DaGriz
I don't think EWU will lose again this year. Depending on how they matchup in the playoffs, maybe not even then. They are way to balanced.
Whoops. Can I take a mulligan?

Nice prediction!!!

CelticCat I always enjoy your game analysis and picks of the week. I'm glad you were wrong on the Cal-Poly Griz game though. Who the hell would have thought Hilliard would run for 237 yards  . Especially after the lack luster amount of yards he had against Eastern.

I agree that there is an upset this weekend, but I think Weber surprises EWU.
I guess sometimes my wishful thinking pays off.
