Game Clock Counted UP?

Post by twentythreeOh4 » Sat Oct 15, 2005 8:56 pm

Did anybody else see the game clock count up? Right before half, the clock went to 4 seconds, then it stopped for a couple of seconds and counted up to 7 seconds? I Tivo'd it and watched it several times...

Lord knows what those BSC refs are doing. I thought we caught a break getting the ball with 5 seconds left.

But I also know after JD was tackled, we had what, 14 seconds to get a snap off? PSU players refused to get off the ball. So who knows.

Big Sky refs are stinking it up right and left. There a few good ones too, but good god are they generally bad. I saw so much holding today It wasn't even funny, yet barely called. Terrible calls, then petty little makeup calls. Refs last week were terrible too. I don't know what is wrong with these guys. They can't call things consistantly, it is hit and miss for doing the same isht. They miss obvious calls, and then turn around and call someone 50 yards away from the play for some B.S.
Every play in college football probably contains someone committing a penalty, and these refs are trying to prove my point by calling them all, especually when it is a big play for UM. I suspect other fans feel the same for their team.
Let the freakin game be played, please.

Don't the refs have the authority to stop the clock if the defensive team refuses to let the offensive player get up like that? That seemed to be what happened.

The television clock is a lot different than the game clock. Just because the person running the television clock is off, doesn't mean the game clock was wrong. It was probably a case where there was a first down made and then television clock operator forgot to stop it.
