Ralph just interviewed Matt Dougherty of Sportsnetwork (1-AA guru or sorts). He recapped his trip to Bozeman for the NDSU game. He mentioned meeting Kmax and talking shop with him. Ralph asked him to rate the trip. He said on a scale of 1-10 it was a 6, his time in Bozeman was a 9, but the trip out and back was a 2. He mentioned flying to LA and then back to Philadelphia??? Sounds to me like he needs a better travel agent.

Listen to national I-AA talk every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Central time, I-AA.org. National columnists David Coulson (I-AA.org), Matt Dougherty (Sports Network) and callers lend an earful and insight into our favorite college football subclassification and the NCAA's top playoff tier.

I talked with Matt about that when he was out here. Sounded like a horrid route to have to take to get to and from. He probably could have rated his time in Bozeman even better had he brought more than a sweatshirt to the game. Guy was practically shaking he was so cold stanging out at the tailgate with us. Matt, it is Montana, even in September you better bring a coat!
