Too early to be feeling so blue. We laid an egg in cali, for some reason can't play there - too much family and not enough football thought. This week we get back on track, remember we beat a pretty decent football team 2 weeks ago pretty handily. Don't be sad, you had better be ready to yell your a$$ off come saturday. Bobcats by 10+. Then you won't be :( , you'll be \:D/

NDSU is giving up 110 yds/game on the ground.
MSU 175

The BISON are giving up 115 yds/game in the air.
MSU 103

NDSU is avg over 45 pts/game and giving up just under 5.
MSU is avg 26 pts/game and allowing 10.

The BISON are a balanced team avg 370 yds/game almost equally split between pass and run at 185 yds/game each.
MSU rush 140 yds/game
MSU pass 203 yds/game

The BISON are over 40% on third dwn conversions.
MSU 31%

The BISON are going to run. We have Chapman back. We have a good line. We can get the 175 yds or more and probably our 2 or 3 rushing TDs.

Let the rest of the game be even, which is very likely, and NDSU wins. In fact MSU is going to have to break out of their mold if they are going to beat the BISON. Its just not in the stats.

Conceding home field and considering coaching even, this is one heck of a game. Thats why its NDSU by 1.

Those are great stats but you played Monticello and Weber. I bet nearly everone in the Big Sky scores 35+ against weber this year. You did have a good win against Northwestern State. You just can't compare stats at this point in the season with the difference in our schedules. If the Bison score on Offense, Defense, and Special teams for the third week in a row the Cats will be in trouble. I don't think they will. Last week the stats showed Cal Poly with only 50 more yards of offense yet they pounded us due to mistakes by the offense. This game will be decided by mistakes and momentum.

teton,
I think you are dead on with this prediction. Two good teams playing always comes down items like those.

I don't think either team is going to win by double digits. This game is going to go all the way down to the wire before it is going to be decided. I am expecting a physical game that may start out to be a bit of an offensive struggle but then as both offenses settle in it will be a back and forth game until the end. I think NSDU will pull this one out 28-24.

Our NWU game was very even in overall statistics and was decided by special teams (Shaman Washington is very good as is our field goal kicker) and turnovers. Both teams were good and represented themselves well. The BISON had a clear edge in the margins, special teams and turnovers.

Weber is a good team in the BSC usually middle or lower and we handled them just like everybody else in the BSC will including you guys I imagine, so thats a wash.

We warmed up on DII Montecello just like a good team should.

The basic character of our team is clearly emerging or even fully exposed by the statistics. I think NDSU is everything the stats show.

I expect the game to be like our NWU game. Like barechestcat and other fans expect it might be close and decided in the margins. Im giving NDSU the edge there further supporting my call of BISON by 1. I dont think we are going to get the turnover roll we enjoyed at NWU, 4 ints. Thats why that game got out of hand a little bit and this one will be closer.

Heck, even attendance will be about the same that game was in La. and 13,325 were there.
