Ok – I’m starting to recover from the extreme disappointment after that a$$-whuppin. Here are some of the reasons why, through my Blue & Gold colored shades…
We all know this team has some major talent. They showed it during the first 2 games,- that hasn’t changed. Unfortunately, the real Bobcat team was MIA on Sat. We’ll get a huge boost Sat. when Greatwood finally suits up. Gotta compare this situation to our neighbors down the Interstate. Last year they traveled to SHSU for an early season matchup and got absolutely THROTTLED. But then they rebounded, beat that team later in the season and ended playing for the national title. Lesson learned – better to have your let-down games early in the season. Lastly – Saturday we’ll really get to see what this team is made of. Win or lose though – it still comes down to what this team does during conference play. Yes, I shudder at the thought of being 1-3 with this team, but IF we lose(Will be a huge brawl – I predict a 3 point Bobcat win) it still boils down to conference play. I know everyone’s growing impatient with the lack of home playoff games, but only 8 teams out of the 120 get that chance and everybody knew that was going to be extremely difficult for us with one of if not the toughest schedule in 1-AA. So, IF we still make the playoffs and have to travel – at least nobody else at the top is looking that great either. 4 of the top 5 teams lost last weekend. Enough sugar-coating for now. More later.
More Optimistic Outlook
