KUDOS TO BOBCAT NATION

Post by gtapp » Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:54 pm

Bobcat Nation has not only provided entertainment it has helped many people reconnect or stay connected. It has helped people find rides, tickets, rooms and drinking buddies. But most of all it has provided sorely needed information on MSU and Bobcat Athletics for people all over the country. And when you provide information you generally increase interest which will eventually lead to increased revenue.

Good work to the individuals who created Bobcat Nation and to those that maintain it! This Moose Drool is for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks gtapp. I think collectively what you see this site doing is really what we wanted to see when putting it together. Not just a place to talk Bobcat Sports, but to stay connected to MSU and Bozeman no matter where you are. We also like to think that we can help build interest in the Bobcats through this site, and I think our timing was perfect based on what the football and volleyball teams are doing. Thanks to all the members for making it a fun place and keeping it going!! Now if we could just get rid of our pesky jobs, we could be here even more!!

agree with gtapp. I love staying connecting any way I can, because I can't get back to that wonderful town as much as I'd like.

Thanks to all.

Talked with Kerry Hanson- She said that the CAT game is impossible to get on TV out of state- I am upset to WBTFG- Homecoming and CAT/jizz will be available, but that is it...too bad I will be in Bozeman for those anyway.

If Max Media is doing it and sending it out to all of the stations around Montana it has to be going into space somewhere. Maybe they aren't willing to give out the coordinates, but I would think a "big-dish" would be able to pull in the game if you could get them.

I shot an email off to the station manager of the Max Media station here in Butte/Bozeman to see if it was available by satellite and if we could get coordinates. Never hurts to ask, and if it is then maybe some of you out of staters can find a bar that will put it on for you. I will let everyone know if I hear anything back.

It is possible, when I get more info I'll pass it on.

You can call or email Bill Lamberty (blamberty@msubobcats.com) or the Cal Poly ID Eric Burdick (eburdick@calpoly.edu). If they can give you the coordinates you can pick it up on one of those large dishes. I few bars still have them.

I assumed it was pretty much impossible, but I think that Brooklyn's (by the Pepsi Center), which hosts the Cat-Frizz party every year, was able to pick up the playoff game against McNeese a few years back.

I talked with a manager after the Alumni party pre-CSU last year, and they were saying how they loved Cat fans. I guess we're all friendly and ran up healthy tabs. Could be worth a phone call, they might look for any excuse to get us in their bar.

I got the coordinates, but decided to post it in its own thread for better visibility. Check it out at http://www.bobcatnation.com/bobcatboard ... php?t=3230
