FSR 8/18

Jevon Miller came in today on crutches. His foot was wrapped up but he still had his shoe on over it. When asked about it, he said he didn't know what it was, but that "it hurts". He was able to get around without the crutches.

I wonder if it could be some plantar facitus (sp?). That is a very painful injury and tough to walk on. And it is something you can get w/o even knowing you have doen anything to your foot until you take a step and feel the sizzling electricity of pain going up your leg. Hopefully that isn't what it is, but it is a pretty common injury to WR's/RB's (especially in initial camp). Hopefully our trainer has all our players stretching their heal tendons every day so that stuff doesn't happen.

& as we all know Cardiac is the in House expert on Plantar Facitus. Matter of fact he may be the in state expert since he also advises Egriz on the problem.

Cardiac,
I agree with you. I've had plantar facitias too, and it is quite painful. I have worn orthotics in my shoes for several years now to prevent reoccurances.

I stopped by the afternoon practice for about 10 minutes or so today. Miller was still on crutches due to what looks like an ankle injury (not sure how serious), Eddie Smith is still out (will he ever play?), Rosey was back practicing, and I didn't really notice any other injuries.

I walked by the long snappers practicing, and it was pathetic. I only saw about 4 or 5 snaps. All of them took what seemed to be 4-5 seconds to get to the punter, and most of them were off target as well. This could really cost us...especially in the OSU game.

Luckily our offense is good enough to where we won't need a long snapper.

WTBF... I don't agree totally. The long snapper will be important in the shotgun formation... and we are going to need those field goals somewhere down the line... if only to get us rolling in any given game. Thanks for the info... hope the coaching staff can get us to a confident level with our long snappers.

Bostick should be able to perform his long snapper duties by the time season rolls around, I believe.
