Chris Davis
I was recently told through a close source that Chris Davis just had knee surgery on tuesday and is expected to miss fall camp. He is expected to be back the week of the Oklahoma State game which is very good news. We need him on the field he can be a game changing corner. He was probably going to easily take the starting corner job this fall and probably still will when he gets back. He is one of the fastest and strongest guys on the team as he displayed that in summer workouts. Good luck Chris get better soon

I also hope that Chris can get back into the groove in time to contribute this season. I really got exited to have him on the team when I saw some of his previous game footage over the winter.
I know that Coach K's philosophy has always been to give the green light to minor operations, or "maintenance" surgeries as soon as possible; as opposed to letting the kids play thru something that could grow from a nagging annoyance to a major problem. I don't remember hearing about C.D. blowing out his knee or anything, so hopefully that is the case here... just a little touch up surgery that'll leave him feeling better than ever.
We need as many able bodies in that defensive backfield as we can get, and C.D. looks about as good as they come!
