Men's and Women's Basketball tonight

Post by bozbobcat » Mon Dec 18, 2006 11:21 pm

I had to miss tonight's men's game to get CPR certification, so I don't have a report except I saw that the Bobcats won 97-53 over Great Falls. Did anybody go and if so, do you have any thoughts?

I also saw the women's team lost 66-63 at Utah. That must have been a heck of an effort by the ladies tonight.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/
My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

I'm just glad we got another win in the column. I hope we can really turn it up in conference play.

I should add that Dissly had 22 points and hit 3 threes. Piepoli hit 4. The team made 15 all together.
Good shooting and good free throws.

If they can do these two things for the rest of the season, we should be in for a ride!

A quick look at the box score shows they only hit 20-31 FT's tonight - only 64%. Yet again, they MUST be able to knock down FT's of they expect to win close games. Plain and simple.

They were 15-31 from 3 (48%) and 47 % from the floor. Keep up the hot shooting against SDSU on Friday night boys...

Mecklen Davis also appears to be improving every game. He started tonight and had 11. He hit both of his attempts from 3.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Good to see a MT kid play well. He's had a heck of a "pre-season".

Our "big " men looked very competent against this competition. I hope they can use this to get ready for the big boys in the conference. The shooters looked very relaxed on their shots. Even Casey hit one. Man, his D is great!

He looked huge and out of shape.

UGF will be at the bottom of the Frontier again.

Great all around game by the Cats. Everybody played. Diss was a man among boys.

Oh, yeah Huse got a technical, and I'm glad he did. The same ref had about 3 fantom calls in a row. All the same ref and one play the UGF guy was throwing a cheap shot and they called it on Taylor.

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

MY free throw comment was mainly toward Dissly, who hit 12-14 I think. But I still think 64% is unacceptable.

Yep 10 points and 3 rbs in 10 minutes of PT. Heck if we play him 25 minutes a game he shoulld average 25 points and 8 rb's.... right. All joking aside though I think he made the most out of his first extended PT he also shot from the fied very well and was 2-2 from the 3 point line.

Ahh, I see what you mean. Yes, he hit 12-13 - damn good.

However, you made a reference to the team AFTER Dissly, therefore the good shooting, good FT's comment would be in reference to the team. :P That was why I was confused.
