Regarding his 6 month delay in filing the charges, didn't County Attorney Marty say in the Chronicle or on TV that he delayed filing the charges to protect the identity of a confidential informant? A confidential informant who may also be involved in the homicide investigation. If this is true, it sounds like a reasonable explanation to me.

In regards to some of the previous posts, I would like to ask the following questions: What motive would there be to frame MSU football players on "bogus" drug charges? Why would they pick Andre Fuller to frame, instead of someone like Groves, Mason, Daly, Rolo? For whoever made the asinine assumption earlier about the Missouri River Drug Task Force not doing a good job or incapable of conducting themselves, I ask you please to provide me some proof on this matter. Because I have know a couple of these guys and have met several others. And I can tell you that each one of them puts their butt on the line every day protecting the rest of us from the bad guys. A few of them have even had to be taken off active duty because the dangers of their job have made it physically impossible to do their jobs. So all you conspiracy theorists, shut the hell up. If they arrested Andre, then it's 99.9 percent probable that they have the goods on him.

The feds usually wont touch a distribution offense unless it involved the mail or interstate transactions, or if weapons were involved, or of course if it is a huge amount of drugs. This isn't always the case but the smaller the case, in my experience, the more likely the feds will not be involved.Cat Grad wrote:As much as I despise our state courts, perhaps someone could explain to me (for my own peace of mind as most of my experience has been with federal courts) why if it is in fact felony distribution, this case was not handled by the feds as I assume this is a federal offense and I'm still puzzled why it took six months for the arrest. Did the feds simply refuse to take the case?
