I put it in another post but I'll put it here as well. It was interesting that O'Day said last night on the news that if Hauck leaves he already has a short list of 7-10 applicants ready to roll on. I'm sure Fields has done the same as soon as these rumors started. I guess I never thought about it, but I bet he was being contacted by people interested in coming here the second Erickson went to ASU. I agree with other posters that the most qualified individual could very well be someone none of us have ever heard of.catsrback76 wrote:Without giving details ( sorry boys) but I do have it on very good sources that Kramer is gone. What is happening now is more formality than indecision. This week it will be signed sealed and delivered.
So-- who do we think is "un officially" being contacted for Kramers spot?

I don't have a reliable source but my first inclination told me Kramer would be going to Idaho. I have to start wondering what is taking so long for Idaho to announce his hiring. The longer this drags out the more inclined I am to think that he isn't getting the job. Having said that what will Kramer do with this Fuller thing. If he is gone how does this affect the next coach coming in. I would like to see Van Diest in Bobcat blue and feel that he wouldn't have a problem dealing with these issues but only time will tell. If Kramer does get the job he may be excaping in the nick of time.

This is really funny.
I have it on good authority that he has not been offered the job, and will interview on Idaho's campus Thursday.
As has been mentioned a ton of times before, until there is a press conference with Kramer standing in front of a podium at the U of I campus talking about his new job, the rest is speculation.

I find it funny that a DIA school(North Texas) just hired a highschool coach who has never been at the collegiate level...one never really knows for sure.

Yea but a Texas High school coach has the recruiting experiance, and most likely has a bigger athletic budget than most Big Sky schoolsObzerver wrote:I find it funny that a DIA school(North Texas) just hired a highschool coach who has never been at the collegiate level...one never really knows for sure.

Talk about a turn of events! Someone just told me that I was going to be named the new coach here and that Kramer is going to Miami (might have been Nebraska, they weren't sure)! I haven't interviewed nor applied for the job and my football coaching resume is a little light, but this inside source told me supposedly if I am asked I would take the position and, in fact, there will be a news conference this afternoon to formally announce my hiring.
By the way, next year we'll be running the veer and no more roll punts. In fact, we're going to give up punting and just go for it every 4th down.

Hey, I don't have a dc and you seem to have a quick mind for that side of the ball. Unconventional, I like it. Can we run that out of "flex"? Call me after the press conference (they now tell it's been pushed back a little bit).Hell's Bells wrote:and btw we are going to be running a 1-1-9 DPDXKat wrote:
