Thank you. I know he was looking for something to do, he's not that far away from being vested in the Montana TRS, so the thing in Boulder works pretty good. Was Bozo the very first collegiate position he had?grizdoc wrote:Academic faculty have the opportunity to use TRS or ORP (TIA/CREF, etc), not sure about coaches they may pay into PERS.Cat Grad wrote:Here's a dumb question: Do university employees also contribute to the Montana Teachers' Retirement System? If so, I'd seriously like to see us go get Mick Dennehey to come back to Bozo in the event Coach leaves.
I really enjoyed his press conferences and it'd sure be a big change.

A coach moving from IAA to IA is not the same logic as a coach moving from NAIA to IAA. Nobody is aking you to buy it.catsrback76 wrote:I think all this IF talk about the Coach heading to Idaho is a mere formality. Idaho and Coach went out on a date last year and really liked each other until Erickson stepped in and gave us another year with Coach Kramer.
This year will be different. Once the numbers are laid on the table Coach will be a Vandal.
Sooooo our lists had better be already made and our phone calls already done to get in our candidates. Again, Van Diest is no relic of a football coach kids. By some estimates and comments many of you who are against him would vote against Joe Paterno because his style is "archaic". To not look at him because Solomonson was a shipwreck doesn't hold any water at all. To use the same logic no IAA coach would ever be hired for a IA job. Sorry I don't buy it. Look at Van Diests record and rapport. Sure he built a national juggernaut with "scrubs and left overs from MSU and UM", imagine what he might be able to do with the creme-de-laCreme.
