Very good article by Tom Stuber on the Helena kids for Cats and Griz playing this weekend (Daly, Birkland, Carpenter).

He also discusses the process of picking All-Conf players, and how poor it is.

My favorite paragraph is:
"What happened to Daly - an honorable mention selection - practically rendered the entire practice of selecting a team at all a downright abomination. He was third in the league in tackles with 107 and finished eighth in tackles for loss with 10.5. MSU head coach Mike Kramer not only recognized him as the best player on his defense, but also called him the best defensive player in the league at one point in the season."

That honorable mention is less than honorable. Daly was first team all season. But looking passed the joke of an all-conferece team, good article and good luck to these guys his weekend.
