Bailey found Lulay. PSU slowplayed him and Bailey offered on the spot. PSU came back, but Lulay honored his commitment to Bailey. Because of Bailey. That is straight from Lulay. Kramer found Brett Owens who moved on after a couple of years. Good kid, but not as gifted as Lulay. THe Oregon kids we have are because of Bailey.

The only play calling I didn't like this week was all of the passes in the second half. Run the ball, burn the clock, and win the game. I had to use the bathroom and party it up but that second half took to long. What is the deal with the Furman coach calling time out and getting that last TD. Didn't he know what the score was? And why did the official give him the T.O. with one second left? That was classless. Bobcat fans did a great job showing class and respecting the game but what were the officials thingking?

That's exactly what I thought, and nice meeting you at the game! I left a bit early (sin, I know but my son got cold) and I remember thinking, man - if not for that Taito fumble... this thing would have been a shutout. Then I hear about that last touchdown that sounded like a pity call! Oh well - we all know how lopsided that game was. They barely creacked the 50 in the first half!!!

Perhaps those who have bashed the OC would like to congratulate him on his work this week. 3rd team tailback, 2nd and 3rd team WR's and 24 offensive points in 3 quarters. When the players execute Bailey sure looks a lot smarter.
Ok I am one who have blasted the OC. I will say this past weekend was the best play calling I have ever seen from him. We had screens plays, we had handoffs to wide receivers, we had reverse plays. we were throwing on 1st and 2nd downs instead of up the middle on first down, to the outside on 2nd down and a pass on 3rd down. The play calling was A++++. I hope he does not forget for this coming weekends game.

I would agree to some extent. However, one must consider the circumstances of that game:

1) We had only 1 running back suited up for the game. He is 3rd string and would not have been able to run 2-3 times per set of downs (not conditioned). Plus, we had no one to spell him.

2) After the Cats went up 31-0, Kramer knew it was pretty much in the bag, because their offense is not built to score fast. No way was he going to risk wearing out or injuring his ONLY running back, who he would surely need the next weekend.

3) Their defense is built to stop the run.

4) Their defense was not so good against the pass.

I heard the fan (in the student section) people were talking about (ripping Bailey). He was saying "it is the fourth quarter Bailey, RUN THE F****** BALL." The situation we were in made it impossible to do so.

My $0.02.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
