Who fills in for Epi King?

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Sun Nov 26, 2006 10:33 pm

I saw Epi King at the basketball game today in a knee brace and walking very gingerly. I would doubt he'll be able to go on Saturday. His loss would be a huge blow to our defense. He was all over the field against Furman.

Dane Fletcher played quite a bit in the second half-as did all the subs, but I think he might have replaced Daly?

I think I saw Daly on the field at the same time as Fletcher. I think Dane Fletcher is a hard hitter and would make a good replacement for Epi King. It's still really bad that he's hurt, though.

The paper said that Claggett was going to be available for this game....we'll know more in a couple of days.

That is a big blow, we need speed in this game more than ever. I love Fletcher, but I don't know how fast he is.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

This may just be a long winded version of what Cat-Grad posted but here’s a possibility… Siataga, Kolone, and Papich are the D-line anchors and are healthy, thank God. They are backed up effectively by Hoff, Kinkelaar, and Cerise. The starting left end will either be Clive or Bobo, with one of them possibly moving to WILL linebacker? That leaves Daly in the middle (obviously), with Clagett or Mathews starting at SAM? Either that or we just stick with the original starting D-line, and backers are Clagett, Daly, and Mathews? We also have Speights, Gazzerro, and Fletcher available if necessary. Losing King hurts, but I’m confident that we have abundant talent with this group and the coaches will figure out how to use it most effectively.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
