Thanks for all the info.

8 Hours of Driving on Wed, 12 hous on Thur, and 10 to 12hours on Fri and we are there. Not bad at all. LOL I am a fool!

If we wait til we get to Bozeman to scope things out, (instead of reserving a room now), will we have a problem getting a room? I don't want to get to Bozeman and there be no room at the inn.

Lots of Hotels in Bozeman, but not really close to the stadium. Best Western Grantree is good as is the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn. There are some new ones like the Come On Inn (can't remember how they actually spell that) and Hilton that are located just off 19th (first exit off I90 coming from the east).

Have a safe trip!

I would think it would be better to get a room ahead of time just to be safe. There are alot of hotels around Bozeman with all the new ones, so I would bet you would be able to find something but with a big game in town and it being the holiday weekend it will definately be tougher than usual.

DO NOT WAIT!!!! You will have better luck trying to get a hotel room now then on Friday when you get to town....I know of several that are already without rooms. When Bozeman sells out of hotel rooms (it happens all the time), it is at least a 20 minute drive to the next towns with hotels.

Forgot to mention something else fun to do, especially after bearing the cold on Saturday: The Bozeman Hot Springs, in Four Corners. Lots of natural springs and pools.

I made the drive once from TN to Montana for a football game while in college, and it was a wonderful experience. You will have a great time! I'm so happy to know that there will be a few other purple folks there! I am going to reserve my room through priceline...I have had great experience doing that and using wireless internet booked rooms the same way as I moved from Greenville to Arizona back in August. Will let you know what I come up with! Looking forward to meeting the Bobcat fans, so far you seem like a great bunch!

Thanks for the advice.

I ended up with reservations at Ramada Inn off Exit 306.
Tix to game are ordered and will pick up at FU on way out of town.
So I am set. We started to back out this morning, but said what the hell!

Good call! You will enjoy Bozeman and win or lose you will always remember the trip. Make sure to print off the tailgate map before you leave and find myself or kmax. We will make sure you get a beer and some food before the game.

For those of you staying at hotels in Bozeman without a restauraunt you will enjoy the food and drink at the Best Western Gran Tree Inn. Very freindly place and it is where your team will be staying!

Not a bad choice, I stayed there over homecoming. They have a pool and a small waterslide for the kids. Also, note that Kagy Blvd near the stadium is closed off on gameday!!
