Minimum bid for first round is $30,000 (+ 75% of ticket sales after that) the way I understand it.Bay Area Cat wrote:Where did you get the $35K figure from? Is that the minimum bid? I assume we bid way higher than that for us to snag a home game like we did.KillintheGriz wrote:This sounds way too high. $35,000 bid/$30 per ticket is about 1166 tickets. of course there are other fees such as securty and cleanup, but my guess is 3000 tickets is all we need.catwiththehat wrote:I talked to a friend in Montana Hall and we need to sell 7,000 tickets to break even for this game. The campus is prettly empty today so hopefully some students will cut their vacation short.

This might have been mentioned elsewhere, but they close the dorms over the Thanksgiving Holiday - that will hurt the student attendance.
However, many students have purchased tickets and ARE spreading the word to make it to the game if at all possible.
If Student tickets don't sell, they should sell them to to the general public.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I really don't think weather is advantage to one team or the other. They don't have tropical weather over there like everyone here thinks, and remember, we have our fair share of California boys on the team that may think it's pretty darn cold outside.bobcatgrad2005 wrote:The weather is shifting in our favor... expected high od 34 degrees and 40% chance of snow.

My nephew said students tickets not sold will be sold at the adult price on Wednesday.grizzh8r wrote:This might have been mentioned elsewhere, but they close the dorms over the Thanksgiving Holiday - that will hurt the student attendance.

I am going to step out on a limb and agree. Even the Montana boys won't be used to cold and snow. We have had a beautiful fall, not much snow (which scares me for the coming summer).

You're spot on. It's not like Furman is in Charleston or some other coastal city. Current temp in Greenville is 34, with a wind chill of 28. High today of 46. Unless there's a ton of snow in Bozeman between now and Saturday or the temperature gets down into the teens or 20s, I don't think weather will play a huge factor. What I do think will play a factor is altitude, travel distance and getting a ton of Cat fans out to the game.1BadBobcat wrote:I really don't think weather is advantage to one team or the other. The biggest factor, however, will be the fact that the Cats are a better football team right now (IMHO).
