First off, it's amazing what a six game winning streak does for the demeanor in the room.
He's happy that we're where he felt we could be at the beginning of the season in terms of playing for the conference championship. But, he's also quick to point out that there's a lot of work to be done. I get the feeling that we have yet to see the team he feels he has.
Team injuries are minor (other then Tolliver) at this point. So, we should be fairly healthy going into Nov. 18th.
No talk about gameplan really.
Made sure to mention the 49 yards per punt average last game and told all of the armchair coaches who want a standard punt formation to sit on that (I don't remember for sure what he said but the room was rolling). He said the roll punt won't be going away anytime soon.
Coach said that Evin's performance in the second half was back to form; the rust's been knocked off!
He also said that upon review of the tape is was sad sad sad how open guys were all day in the passing routes. Rolo's just gotta go back to making his reads/progressions and hitting the open guys. An example was on the pass play up the middle in the second half where Jefferson just missed a leaping touchdown catch. Rolo's read was on the linebacker, it he went with Jefferson, then Rolo was to dump it off to the running back as there would be no one there to cover him. In the tape, there wasn't a soul nearby Evin. Coach said if Jack makes that read, Evin may have scored on that play (large gain at a minimum).
At any rate, a fun meeting to be at.

i know some will say again that they do not like kramer calling Rolo out in public. What we need to remember is that he is doing this at booster gatherings where we are pressing for answers. We are the ones that publicize and talk about his comments for the rest of the week. I for one am glad that kramer is as open as he is with boosters and other supporters when he travels the state for these gatherings.

I don't mind him pointing out the mistakes on film to our boosters/QBC/etc. The only time it bothers me is right after the game to the media.tetoncat wrote:i know some will say again that they do not like kramer calling Rolo out in public. I would hope and do hope that ANYTHING said this week and next among Bobcats that could possibly be used against the Bobcats is kept off this board. Please make sure that when you talk to a player, hear something at a meeting, etc that you think about what impact it could possibly have and if there is any chance it could be used against the Cats, keep it to yourself.

If we know it on Bobcat Nation, you can be damn sure 'ol Booby Hauck knows it over there as well. I dont think we are divulging any secrets.
As far as the quarterback clubs go, I think Kramer only gives out info he wants them to know regardless of how open and personal he claims to be with them. I've had the honor of sitting in on quite a few QBC meetings over the last 3 years, and they are quite impressive, but I dont think the QBC members post everything Kramer tells them either. Bits and pieces may filter through, but typically not the whole story.
My guess is that things from Bozeman will get very quiet real soon anyways.

I am happy that the roll punt averaged 49 yards last weekend. That is great.
The rest of the season's data still remains relevant, though (and most of that is still very ugly) ... still would love to see us run a trick play and punt the ball high and deep every so often for a change of pace.
But I am very happy with one good game of punting in a row, and I am very hopeful that we will have several more of those in a row this season.
