I can hear the complaints already. Now all Cat fans will have Griz envy because we wanted Monte to lose and he is.

Sounds like envy on the part of the kittys. Do you even have a mascot? I just was informed that Bozo had an athltic department...news to me..

Maybe the fact that Monte is losing his game, the Friz will take it loss on Saturday too. There has got to be some correlation, right?

You are dUMb enough to take a swipe at our athletic department? At the end of the season, take a look at the All Sports rankings for the Big Sky as well as the academic rankings. Here, I'll save you some time with a tip: Look toward the top of the lists for the Cats, and look AT THE BOTTOM for the griz. Also, since you obviously have the time to post baseless, ignorant comments here, check out those same rankings from the past few years as well as the Cat/griz head-to-head matchups in ALL sports and then come back and talk your BS...

Your football/girls basketball/mascot department is in great shape; you griz have SO much more to be proud of athletically than we do...

How is your mascot doing? Oh yea, your mascot isn't even in the running. Kind of like how your football team isn't the running for the BSC Championship and how your team will be sitting home while we go on for post-season play. No NC for the cats this year!

We can’t always be number one, but is nice to have been there recently and hopefully in the not two distant future we might get the opportunity to be number one again.

I could care less that our mascot isn't in some ridiculous contest. The fact that so many griz fans get so worked up about that stupid ball of fur just makes me laugh and puke at the same time.

Hearts and Minds, Hearts and Minds, the under 10 group love Monte. That's a problem for the cat fan base. Even a cat can wrape his mind around that one. (blah, blah band wagon fans....band wagon fans help the Griz have 7 home games and that has helped this year)

I'm feeling there is some Griz envy going on here. How is it that so many bobcats are voting against MONTE, if no one cares. Admit it, you would love to have a mascot like MONTE.

Who are the Bobcat fans that are allegedly voting against Monte? I wouldn't waste my time, he can lose to a blob all on his own.

Personally, I could give a rat's ass about any mascots. I know I may be in the minority on this. I will say that Barry was very talented at what he did, but the new Montes are pretty mediocre wannabe's of his former self.

the cat fans might kid themselves and say they wouldn't want Monte but I guarantee their AD and President would say otherwise. Look at all the National Pub Monte has garnered in the last few years. That exposure turns into money for the athletic department and the university. I would guess that %80 of the kids under 10 in this state know who Monte is, and what do they think of when they think of Monte? Griz football. I can't even tell you what the cats mascot is named, is it Stripe? You can hope for Monte lose all you want, but don't act like you arent envious of what he brings to our University.

A lot of little kids go with thier parents to the game just to watch Monte, it's fun for them to see a big bear that makes them laugh. I see it every home game, basketball game, and public event that I attend.
