Why you will lose this week

I’m sorry, and it isn’t my intent to beat a dead horse but I tell you why you shouldn’t get your hopes up this week.

When you started the season, you were not expected to beat Colorado. The team played loose and played well. I think Colorado overlooked you and you took them to the woodshed. Now, the team is almost desperate for a win. The lack of team unity due to the high number of transfers has resulted in finger pointing when things have gone wrong. The key injuries have placed untested players in tough situations and you are playing on turf in what can be a hostile environment. My bet is that you lose the next two weeks in a row and only after acceptance of being in the rebuilding process will the team again play loose and begin to win. I don’t think you’ll go 1-10. I’m betting you beat Weber, Sac, & UNC for a 4-7 record. Just my humble opinion.

What is this obsession you UM people have with everything Bobcat? You have a humble obsession? I guess that goes hand-in-hand.

Crazycat I understand your lame attempt to take the heat off the cats by turning this on the Griz. (see your lame 3 out of 4 thread) & all I have to say is you have the worst case of Griz envy that I've seen in a long time.

This will be my last comment on the cats season so far. The cats are going through the same thing the Griz went through last year. A young QB. The Differance: The Griz go 8-4 with a playoff game and it looks like the cats are on the way to a 1-10 or 2-9 season. I guess it's time for me to stop reading the BN since the wounded cats don't want any Griz around reminding them what they could have been.

It's getting to you, eh? Don't like a taste of your own medicine? It's not lamer than your attempt to spin MSU's success against UM with "we only care about the playoffs" or your lame excuse to pass off my point as Griz envy. Everything is Griz envy when it doesn't go the Griz's way, right? If you only care about the playoffs, then why are you even responding to this?

Like you're going to leave. That's a laugh. You don't have anything else to do, but come over here an revel when the Cats are feeling down. You aren't even celebrating UM's good team. You actually enjoy MSU's losing more than your own winning. Classic.

What I don't get is why this meatheads don't take our alledged fixation (it's actually their's) about beating the Griz as a compliment.

You are crazy. I used to post over on egriz, but as I have posted here before most of the fans have lost perspective. I played a little football back in the day and offered up my opinion. I didn't say you suck or that your going 1-10. I didn't make personal attacks against individual players. I just find it awful funny that going into last year, we had Cat fans coming over to egriz talking about how rough it was going to be for us because Ochs was gone and we had to replace our QB. I expressed my reservations last year and I was not surprised by the way it ended. I posted on here that you ought to lower your expectations because I didn't feel some people understood how much the team owed to Lulay.

Do I dislike the Bobcat football program? Well I would be a liar if I said I don't giggle a little when I hear of a loss. But most of that has to do with Mr. Clean selling his snake oil and making proclaimations he cannot back up. Personally, I would be much happier for the Cats if Maxi Me and Company would under- promise and over- deliver. And because it is just the opposite I have to admit getting some delight out of seeing the Ole Bald One with egg on his face.

I cannot take way what the Huge Unit has done for the program and the fan base, but I'll maintain that as long as he is at the helm you should enjoy your 7-4 seasons because I believe it won't get much better then that.

Is it just me or does this post sound more like someone who is happier about MSU's losing streak, than he/she is about UM's wins?

I have noticed the comment about team unity due to the high number of transfers several times. Does anyone have the comparison between Cats and Griz as to how many starters this year are transfers. Just on the offense for Griz I can think of 3 or 4, Bradshaw, Chambers, Swogger, and the O-line guy from Oklahoma. I would assume you mean 1st year transfers, because someone in the program longer than that should not have a unity problem any more than a redshirt freshman.

Thanks to the magic of XM, I was able to listen to the griz game against Iowa. The announcers for the game made more than one comment that the griz had 8 I-A transfers in their program.

You can't recruit from other programs so this is quite the compliment to a team that continually builds and stays a contending team.

We can't what? Transfers are transfers. They aren't recruits and yes there is a difference. Did Bobbie "recruit" Swogger? Or Coleman? Only after they quit the programs they were with, thus the term "transfer".

8 transfers? Where are all these highly touted recruits of Haucks? Or are the Griz still running on Glen recruits in year #5? :)
