Anyone else get sick of the bigheaded bs that the Griz fans spin every time something bad happens to them? whenever the Cats win it was pure luck, when the Griz lose it was the field, the refs blah blah blah
They are in denile about there progrm and the way the wheels are coming off. I hope they keep Bobby for many, many years.

I've been around long enough that their spiel is like water running off a ducks back. I do have several good friends who are as adamant about the griz as I am about the 'Cats, but I'm catching less and less crap from them the last few years. In fact going into this season and after the first weekend, they're talking more about hunting and fishing than football.................hmmm.
And I would support state legislation allowing dUMb to sign Bobby to a 20 year contract with no escape clause for either party.

This likely will be moved to the Smack board, but yes, I am sick of the Griz excuses.
I talked to family members who are UM grads after the 1-A games. One of them said Iowa beat a team 91-0 last season, so the Griz weren't expected to win.
I told her that was a lie, and I then told my Bobcat uncle that the UM talking points were already out and being parroted.

Another stupid phucking post.
I'd say 90-95% of the Griz fans are happy for the Cat's victory, me being one of them.
I get so pissed off reading some of this stupid schitt about Cat/Griz, Griz/Cat, Griz suck because they got beat by a BCS team, etc.
Get over your childish schitt.
I'm all for a MSU/UM win every weekend, except for the one in November. And I truly believe most MONTANA natives agree.

I agree in part...but you gotta keep the fire burning somehow! How boring would it be if we all learned to live together in peace! So FTG!

Your anger betrays your "happiness". I pull for the Griz as well, but I did get a little bit sick of hearing talking points downplaying what was obviously a huge win not only for MSU, but also for the entire conference.

There are a-hole exceptions on both sides. We have Griz fans come over and piss on this board all the time just like I notice a few 'Cats do now. It is also happening with our win. Many Griz fans have been congratulatory while some of the more frequent "ours is bigger than yours" on egriz have been discounting the win, its just something both sides have to live with

another stupid post? that's like calling the kettle black... 95% of the posts on egriz are stupid. At least we have the decency to separate out smack from all other posts. I for one, being born a Cat fan, raised a Cat fan, and dying a Cat fan, ... oh, and did I mention a UM alum? am sick of the griz and their childish rants about being laden with Montana kids, griz class (and I use that term lightly), constantly denying they've never, ever, EVER having a mediocre team, bashing us about living in the past for our 84 championship when all they can refer to is "16 out of 20" (that's THE PAST!). Why do griz fans get so mad when they hear the Bobcats cheer "Eat sh!t griz" or live in denial when we beat a superior I-A team? After all, this IS a rivalry! You don't expect to hear Auburn fans yell "Roll Tide!" or see Beavers hugging Ducks during the "Civil War" game. And you may as well wear flak jackets if you live in Florida and show the wrong colors in Tallahassee, Gainesville, or Miami. Football is meant for rivalries whether it's at the level of small fry football, high school, university, or pro. So get over the childish "schitt" and let the rivalry continue!
UM alum but smart enough to be a CAT fan!

Those rivarlies never went through 16 straight to either side and 8 straight conference titles or 13 straight playoff appearance while the other team had a winless season. We are arrogant for a reason that reason is winning. Is it wrong to never think of mediocrity? Is it wrong to think we should be better than our rival in every aspect of the game? Is it wrong to think national title EVERY year?
Answer: No
UM's dynasty is not over and it really pisses me off that MSU thinks they are the new team in Montana. We have too big of a fan base and too nice of a stadium to slip by with mediocre. We are going to be fine by the end of the year, and balance in the BSC will soon by right at home in missoula where it was meant to be in the twenty century. Please get overself and please...

MSU is the team in Montana no matter how much it pisses you off. Your fan base is full of a bunch of toothless bandwagons that don't know jack about football. They look so cool is their dark pink track suits though. Please come to the realization that the GRIZ NO LONGER DOMINATE and please....
PROOFREAD YOUR POSTS SO YOU DONT LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT.......oh wait the fact you are a griz fan gives that away.
What will the griz fans do after this year when they don't make the playoffs and they can't use the "win a playoff game" smack? Man I can't wait!

This is a Cat state now. The Griz looked terrible last weekend and the Cats, well, everyone knows what happened. Swogger is the worst looking Griz QB in a while so let's see how long the fizzlies can ride on his lousy arm.

That still pisses me off. It's 4th down with nothing to lose and he throws it out bounds?!?! Talk about leaving a bad taste in your mouth. Although we've only seen Swogger in one game, I'd have to say he's better than Berquist.
In response to limpkitty's first post....most of my Griz friends are impressed with the Cats win and would gladly be in their shoes. There are a couple that try to make it sound like you wrote. To put it mildly, they are idiots. Not just in football, but in their every day life.

Swilly,
just some data for you: In the 30 years prior to "the streak", the Cats won National Championships at 3 different levels and owned a 22-8 advantage over the Griz. Yes, the Griz have dominated the last 20 years but I my point is that everything changes. If the Griz stay at I-AA, they will be successful far more often than not, due to the items you mentioned. That does NOT automatically mean, however, that other teams (aka the Bobcats) won't JOIN them atop the I-AA ranks. I have always liked Kramer's attitude: The Cats and the Griz being 2 of the premier programs in I-AA football. You guys are already there; we, much as you might not like it or disagree, are very, very close...

I wouldnt agree with you more that the Cats are up and coming but to say that they are on the "same" level as the griz is complete ******. I reconigize and realize what manboobs is doing in blowsman and I am not the saddest person in the world because of it, but he has failed to win a playoff game at MSU and until he does that, I will not stand by and let this Griz arent a better program overall stand. I am a fan of the game and although i have some bias opinion, I will take your reasoning into account. Cats beat Colorada, we get pounded by Iowa..........I get it
All Im saying is that I will give the cats their due when it is earned in november and DECEMBER. Cat/Griz is great and its wonderful for your program and the state of montana that you have beat us lately but dont forget that we have been the national title once and the playoffs all four years in the midst of this "3 outta 4"
I will give the Cats due....
WHEN THEY EARN IT!
