and seen Dissly in the Canery (sp?). Was about 10pm, after the State "A" Championship game. He was WASTED off his azz and trying to fight someone. Dude could barely stand up.
His buddies did the right thing and got him out of there.

C-a-n-n-e-r-y.
Fletch doesn't cater to the college crowd, so one way or the other if this really happened (and I'm not calling you wrong as I wasn't there) it would quickly be taken outside.
If Dissley was a bit 'wasted' and on the fight after yesterdays game, he wasn't the only one- check out all the threads and posts here since the game. If he made an ass of himself as you report, at least it was in a small bar in Montana, as opposed to the //WWW.

Oh, it happened. I was there w/ a former MSU Football player.
Durham and Durr were there also. But they were minding their own business.
I talked to Durr, very nice kid.

Strangely enough, this doesn't surprise me that much. It's not nice to say, I know, but I went to high school with Nick. He does this, as many college students and Bozeman kids do, from time to time. I guess he's already trying to forget about this season. As far as Casey and Carson go, I bet they were ok. And yes, Carson Durr is a great guy.

If these guys are 21, who cares? They're doing nothing wrong. The season is over ... and I'd be really drunk as well. And, judging by the posts about Dissley throughout the season, I wouldn't be surprised if someone said something to him that would give him a good reason to want to fight.
I don't think it is necessary to post who saw who in what bar in Bozeman on the internet. Give the kids a little privacy and don't treat it like a celebrity sighting.

how about just screw that and NOT give away the few bars left in BOZEMAN where us over the age of 30 can escape the college crowd !!
nothing wrong with wandering down to the Crystal, still a great place, the OLD R bar - was a great place (now too yuppie) or the Paw, but once and awhile you like to go to where you wont be smashed into the barely 21 crowd - hence the Cannery. places like that are sacred - I say kick the youngins' out and save it for us old farts

I hope you don't have kids.
Nothing wrong? So fighting is "right"?
Oh, and it's ok to post away about Chavez drinking?
I could give a schitt less about anyone drinking. But when he's popping off in the bar looking for a fight it's wrong. If it were you or I, it'd be no big deal if a fight broke out. But if it were Dissly (or a Griz player), it'd be all over the phucking papers/tv/radio.
But, I guess since he was mad about the schitty season he had, it's ok to fight.
Too bad he didn't fracture someones face and lose his scholarship.

Just curious, before you posted this, were you running around the room with your arms flailing wildly above your head while you were making random screaching sounds punctuated occasionally by a shrill "Oh won't somebody think about the children?!" shouts?
Good lord. You allege that a college kid (who is of age) was in a bar and was really drunk. He did NOT get into a fight and was taken home. BFD. It might have been a moment to write home about for you, but it certainly doesn't rise to the level of something that you need to tattle to the internet about.
This is what sucks about the internet....
If you would like to post your name, address and photo, perhaps then people in Billings can be on the lookout for you in bars or elsewhere around town, and if you happen to ever be in a less than perfect state, then everyone can report about you on the internet? Sound fair?
And the Chavez retort? Ummm, not to challenge you too much on that point, but let me know if you can think of a single (legal) difference between his story and the story that you so bravely passed on to us?

hate to say it, but the cannery caters to college kids for sure. i have been going there with my college buddies for while, and it's turning into another colege bar. but a good one. for the most part, all the college kids who hate the crap that goes on at the r-bar, zebra, and legion can just go hang out at the cannery, where the people are cool, collge kids hanging with local businessmen, and for the most part, a more laid back feel then all the bs that goes on other places.

well haven't lived in Bozo since 1997 - but yet another reason why not to move back home

that and the fact that my builder was a shmuck
keep telling me these things and I'll just say screw it to Gallatin and go move to grizland!

The difference between Chavez and this is that Chavez got into a car and drove. He got pulled over and got a DUI.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Larry K not reprimand Chavez for this?

The point being, douchebag, is that HE is a "celeberty" around Bozeman-whether he want's to be or not. I do wish something would have happened so everyone in the BSC and state would have heard about it. Maybe he would have gotten booted from MSU and then he could have played his last year in the Frontier. Probably more his talent level.
Use your "moderator" power to ban me from here, I don't care. Most of the peeps on here are fun to talk to. At least rtb (I think that's his name on here) is open minded and fun to talk to. You're just a clown who HATES the Griz. Grow up, it's just a game.

Oooohhh, now you're calling me names. The "grow up" line is dripping with irony, is it not?
So you saw a local celebrity (not sure why you put that word into quotes and then butchered the spelling, must be something deep) in a Bozeman bar who was drunk and, were it not for the fact that he didn't, could have gotten into a fight. I know the expression "it must be a slow news day" is a bit overused, but dude, you must have a really slow life, period.
And to head off your victim-complex "Go ahead and ban me, Mr. Moderator man" mantra ... since I never even suggested I would ban you in any way, shape or form, you seem to be a little confused.
And for you to call me a "clown who HATES the Griz," is just downright funny. Fact is, most other posters would accuse me of not hating the Griz enough. In other words, if you are going to slam me, at least learn the right slams to use (if necessary, I can refer you to posters who have done much more accurate research than you have). You're 0 for one so far (0 for two when I point out that I am not, in fact a douchebag, either ... although I may have a distant relative who was diagnosed as such).
And it's good to see that you admit that your true intent was to smear the kid ... good stuff.
To bring it back around ... even per your own worst-case accusation, nobody got into a fight, nobody did anything illegal, and nobody did anything note-worthy for a bulletin board.

Just bow out now BillingsGriz... you started the argument okay then just got owned and resorted to personal attacks.
Anyway, who cares if he was drunk. If he had gotten into a fight, then this would change the whole situation. But he didn't.
But the fact that you wished he would've just so everyone would know about it tells me a lot about your character. You get upset that a 21 year old kid is looking for a fight and think it is a disgrace, then you turn around and wish ill-will on the kid. Classy move, paparazzi.

i don't know how you could ever think this kid warrants a thread? what would make you care if he even drinks? are you his parent? some family member? a coach? back off, not like you're never sipped alcohol EVER in your life, and doesn't seem like the kid did anything illegal or immoral, so why do you give a rats ass? because you're a griz? OOOOOh, like no griz student has ever been drunk and brawled before

give me a break. i agree with brad, if you're going to slam him, do it for something real. i'll start - i hate brad because he shared a room with "cowboy" and i never have

- and NO brokeback went on between them!!!!

If you're against kids being in the bar on Saturday night, why were you in the bar on a Saturday night as well? Maybe we should post a thread about your activities
