Wow. What a contribution. I am now 20000% (However much that is) convinced that you rarely contribute anything of any substance.Swilly3224 wrote:Wow, what a thread...

Dave won a national championship, lulay gave you a playoff berth. There is big difference..catamaran wrote:FixedSwilly3224 wrote:Wow, what a thread...

Only in your feeble mind (which appears to be a small wasteland).Swilly3224 wrote:Dave won a national championship, lulay gave you a playoff berth. There is big difference..catamaran wrote:FixedSwilly3224 wrote:Wow, what a thread...

So are you saying no team should be proud of a player unless they won a NC? Grow up.Swilly3224 wrote:Dave won a national championship, lulay gave you a playoff berth. There is big difference..catamaran wrote:FixedSwilly3224 wrote:Wow, what a thread...

Wrong, I respect Lulay in all matters of the game but I think its kinda stupid to bring up a topic on him spinning the ball in his hand like every move he makes blesses the earth and makes it a better place to live just because travis lulay is breathing (alittle dramatic, this I know)tetoncat wrote:So we shouldn't respect the abilities of a player that stands out statistically as the best to ever play at MSU, and also showed the heart and stamina of a great player because he did not win a national championship. I guess Dan Marino SUCKS. Oh yea and it is no wonder OCHS never got a shot in the NFL he is horrible obviously because he never won a national championship.
Ochs took his team to the championship game. Marino took his team to the Super Bowl.tetoncat wrote:So we shouldn't respect the abilities of a player that stands out statistically as the best to ever play at MSU, and also showed the heart and stamina of a great player because he did not win a national championship. KMA, Lulay will make the NFL.Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:Ochs took his team to the championship game. Lulay never won a single playoff game.
So did Justin Green but were not worshiping him...GOKATS wrote:KMA, Lulay will make the NFL.Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:Ochs took his team to the championship game. That's a compelling argument, but look at it this way. If Lulay truly is an NFL-calibur quarterback, what does that say for the rest of your team and your coaching staff that you couldn't muster even a single playoff win during his 4-year tenure at the helm? Were the rest of the players that bad? I don't think so, I just think your assessment of Lulay is way overblown. If Lulay makes the NFL I'll be rooting him on all the way, although I may be a bit preoccupied with all the monkeys flying out of my butt.GOKATS wrote: KMA, Lulay will make the NFL.
Scats, can you please tell me how Lulay's current possibilities of making the NFL have anything to do with the MSU team not winning a playoff game while he was here?Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:That's a compelling argument, but look at it this way. First of all, I am not "Scats", although I have been known in the past as "SausageCrotch". Second, being invited to the combine is a nice honor, but it absolutely does NOT validate that he is NFL calibur. Most of the guys invited to the combine never play a down in the NFL. The point I was trying to make is that if Lulay is indeed good enough to play in the NFL, why is it that he could never win a single playoff game in college? Did he have bad teammates? Bad coaches? What was holding him back??? Lulay is a good quarterback, not a great quarterback, and to make the NFL you have to be great.lifeloyalsigmsu wrote:Scats, can you please tell me how Lulay's current possibilities of making the NFL have anything to do with the MSU team not winning a playoff game while he was here?Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:That's a compelling argument, but look at it this way. I guess your logic, or lack thereof, neglects to understand that since he has clearly been invited to the combine, it's clear that his playoff performance while a Cat really has no relevance.
So Edwards was a "great" QB, but Steve McNair wasn't even a good QB.Another Arrogant Griz Fan wrote:First of all, I am not "Scats", although I have been known in the past as "SausageCrotch". Good quarterback: Leads his team to the playoffs
Great quarterback: Leads his team to the NC game
Good quarterback: Leads his team to a 4th-quarter comback victory
Great quarterback: Spends the 4th quarter on the bench because he has his team up by 4 tds in the first 3.
I think you get the point.
