wolfman!
i been back and forth from here and egriz all morning and saw that there best friend is back! actually pretty funny. he was going by two names at the same time just today and everything he wrote, they deleted with an "off-topic" sign! it's really funny to me, but for the mods over there it's gotta just be getting frustrating dealing with this guy. maybe he'll come back and visit us!

I don't recall when this discussion took place, but I thought someone on egriz raised the issue of banning his IP address a while back, and the mods said they couldn't really do it because he uses one of the really common ones (like AOL or something similar), and they couldn't ban his address without also banning a lot of other users.
(I don't really know how this stuff works, so I may be a little off on this; I'm just saying what I think I remember...)

I work as an attorney so that I can afford good scotch, which helps me to forget that I work as an attorney.

ya, someone asked the same type of question on egriz about this. asked if you need a new email address for every screen name. i dont know anything about computers either, but that would be crazy if this guy keeps track of all his screen names, passwords, AND email addresses!Grizlaw wrote:I don't recall when this discussion took place, but I thought someone on egriz raised the issue of banning his IP address a while back, and the mods said they couldn't really do it because he uses one of the really common ones (like AOL or something similar), and they couldn't ban his address without also banning a lot of other users.

You're pretty much on the right track. There are some complications that can arise when a user is relatively low-tech.Grizlaw wrote:I don't recall when this discussion took place, but I thought someone on egriz raised the issue of banning his IP address a while back, and the mods said they couldn't really do it because he uses one of the really common ones (like AOL or something similar), and they couldn't ban his address without also banning a lot of other users.
