I don't think it matters who the Cats put on the field next year in Missoula as long as BH is there and CB is under center. CB couldn't have had a backup job on an MSU intramural squad this year. It sure was fun to watch him lead that disgusting Griz O the last few weeks.

I just don't understand why the Griz can't accept defeat... they keep saying "well at least we made it to the post season"... and "blah blah blah"... You are right Grizzlies! You made it to the post season, and you got nothing!! You lost, you're just as bad as anyone else who didn't make the playoffs in this country. So...
MOVE ON!

Lulay is one of SEVEN players EVER to pass for 10,000 and rush for 1,000 in the HISTORY of the NCAA. But your right, he wasn't very good. I can tell you that there is not one Cat fan that is happy we did not go to the playoffs this year. On the other hand I for one am very happy that we did not end the season with two disgusting losses. I dont think you can even call what the friz had on offense.

Come on guys – quit picking on Bareback. He’s just having a hard time dealing with the fact that that the tide has officially turned. It’s no longer a question. Our program is on the rise and the Griz program is on the decline. Anyone who cannot see that is not paying attention. Let’s even forget - for a moment – about the thrashing we dealt them this year. Let’s just look and the teams’ respective records and which direction they’re trending:
Year Griz Cats
2000: 13-2 0-11
2001: 15-1 5-6
2002: 11-3 7-6
2003: 9-4 7-6
2004: 12-3 6-5
2005: 8-4 7-4
Beautiful, isn’t it? Same number of losses for the first time in a long, long time. Thank Goodness it’s over.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

It's amazing that a program can be "in decline" one year after a national title game appearance.
C'mon guys; this is getting ridiculous. We had a weak year this year. Period. Anyone who reads any more into it than that re: the general state of UM's football program is simply grasping to see what they want to see. If we have about four years in a row like this year,
then I'll agree that our program is "in decline," but we're not quite there yet.

The argument of the Griz program being in decline on this board is no different than the Cats can't ever be anything but little brother on other board....pure conjecture to soothe the soul

Actually BB is right. We waited all year for the Eastern Washington game since that was the only team that concerned us going into the season!

Ok I'm easily confussed. Cat fans jump all over the Griz because they lose the first round of the playoffs. While being happy with building a program for that last 5 years while only winning 54% of our games.
I for one would much rather get into the playoffs and lose the opening round then to be content with a 7-4 record. How are we going to win another NC if we don't get into the playoffs.
We can smack the griz all we want, but the notion of laughing at them because they lost in the playoffs (where hopefully we're aiming for each season) is just not a good arguement.

if you read all the posts it makes more sense. not once did a cat fan start a thread that said that all we care about is the griz game, and we dont want to make the playoffs. that is simply what all the griz fans told us after the ribbing we gave them after beating them. it's simple retaliation to the few griz fans, trying to be jerks, talking about the playoffs. so, while i was one of the first to point out that the griz were in the playoffs, and the cats were not, so we shouldn't talk too much, my opinion has changed a little since then because of these "fans". now, when they come on our board, to say nothing constuctive, but instead talk about their team in the playoffs, and us only caring about the griz i get annoyed. so while i wasn't one of the cat fans that said this, i did agree. the griz played one more week, and got killed in the playoffs. griz fans bragging about the playoffs after their loss is no different than cat fans bragging about beating the griz even though the playoffs were out of the question! imo.
