Gulp. Ok... for all of those to whom I spewed my insults, my apologies. Your guys played the game they had to play today, and pretty well exposed our nonexistent offense. A spanking we got, and I feel it, too.
Congratulations to Cats and fans.
I'll be around here for a few days, to insure that I get my fair share of abuse, and then I assume we'll all call it a season and look forward to smacking each other around next year.
Bask in the glory... you deserve it.

Not as much Eastern as Portland State - 3 points away from being in the postseason with the Griz

Eastern dominated which doesn't make me happy, but we shoulda beat Portland

I agree, the PSU loss really chaps me. EWU deserves to be in the playoffs, they are THE best team in BSC. As a side bar that loss to PSU on a field goal cost us the post season. The second best team in the BSC did not get in the playoffs.
Next year lets do the Grizzly thing and pad our preseason games with a bunch of weak sisters, like Fort Harrison.

I love the philosophy that getting one's asses kicked by a ranked 1-A is somehow something to brag about. If the Griz had made a game of it, that's something to talk about. Western Montana College could have gotten whipped by Oregon just as well, but impressive it would not have been.
It is irrefutable, however, that if MSU had done what UM did last season and bought out the road game against Cal Poly to schedule a pansy home game for an easy win, we would be in the playoffs right now.
The 1-AA systems is much better than the BCS, but it still punishes teams for pulling together tough schedules.
El Gato mentioned in another thread that we should always schedules at least one weak team. In the past, I might have disagreed, but I'm a believer now. I love to see tough schedules as a football fan, but the way the system is currently structured, you need to pad your W-L stats with weak games. Congrats to the Griz for lining up any easier slate this season than MSU. In that way, the lesser team still looks better on paper.
The battle-tested Cats could likely do well in the playoffs. The exposed Griz might win at home, but don't appear to have much of a chance beyond that.

Thanks for the message MaZoo...I thought all Griz fans were idiots. You changed my mind. Good luck in the playoffs and pray that Bobby stays so the cross state games can continue to be won by the Cats.

I'm flattered, but determined to do what little I can to see that your wishes aren't granted.

MaZooLa Griz, you're off the idiot list, if you were ever on it. Try to encourage your smart Griz friends to come over here.

I went to Eugene and drank all Ducks under the table. That has to be worth something. So in my mind, the Griz are:
W - L - T
0 - 0 - 1
vs. I-A this year with my drinking efforts being worth 33 points and, thus, effecting a tie against the Whore-again Ducks.

Well said, especially the Whore-again part! They make the hippies that stereotype Missoula look like preppies. If there was a bong hit contest, then they would definitely putting a W up against you there.
By the way, I got the check. Nice memo....

You can still be on the idiot list if you want. Maybe with an asterisk.
