Hauck D1 job update:
Bobby still has his eye on the Notre Dame job. (even though Charlie Weiss signed a 10 year deal) Hauck said he is looking forward to firing another priest.
Bobby has been told by school officals and his counselor that just in case the Griz lose in Bozeman, he needs to be more optimistic than 2003. " I'm just pretty bitter, thinking about next week week is going to take a few hours, that would be good he said, that would make all this go away."
I think Bobby needs some comfort, let's start with a bottle of warm milk and a blanket. I have some advice for Bobby, give the opponent some credit, start with the name of the University, you can even use first and last names.
There is a Seattle area high school football team that has an open date for next September. They recently sent out inquires to prospective schools. The only school to respond was the University of Montana, they said they would not play a home and home game, they would only play in Missoula.
Don Read: Donny has said he would be willing to become the Griz offensive coordinator if the offense had another game without a touchdown.
Griz announcer Mick Holien: Mick plans on moving back to Cheney, Washington to finish his degree. EWU officials said their not interested in Mick doing play-by-play for the Eagles, they've heard him before. E-mail Mick he needs some support: mygrizvox@bresnan.net fax# 406-523-5221
Gurnsey has been asked to do more Missoula area high school games as well.
Joe Glenn job interview update: Joe is still "hot property" in the coaching world. He recently interviewed with three major Las Vegas hotels. They want him to sing and play piano. It's reported that his audition song were Chattanoogo Chew Chew and Ragtime Cowboy Joe. No word on how the interviews went.
Wayne Hogan was recently seen raking leaves in several Missoula area neighborhoods, it's good to see Wayne finding work these days.
John Elway recently called Dave Dickenson about the starting quarterback job for the Colorado Crush. Dave said, "thanks but no thanks" I'm really enjoying the six-foot and under league and the health care system in Canada is too good to pass-up!
