Does that make Washington and Berquist terrible then?bearBAC wrote:ursusmissoulus wrote:
So does anybody have Super Dave's total games played (w/playoffs) and total pass yards (again w/playoffs). I think it would be helpful for those statistic buffs over in catland, and hopefully put the Koolaid DD comparisons to rest.
13486/42 games (he won 35 games)
116 passing TDs
137 total TDs
So he averaged 321 total yards per game for 42 games (of which he won 35).
So, When will kOolaid pass Dave?

Re: Dave Dickens TOTAL 1-AA stats!
Playoff stats are actually counted when figuring career stats now. They weren't when Dave played, though. I think this stat was to even out the number of games played by both, since Dave only played 2.5 regular season, to Lulay's 4.Hell's Bells wrote:your compairing Apples to oranges...bearBAC wrote:ursusmissoulus wrote:

Re: Dave Dickens TOTAL 1-AA stats!
I think that the NCAA might have started keeping post season stats for all of their levels, but I could be wrong. These stats I posted (Im the original one who put them on egriz, I never meant for them to make it over here) were just to show what DD did in all the games he played. I am very impressed by Lulay's body of work in his tenure at MSU, and hope he is just as succesful at the next level, whether its the NFL, CFL, or whatever he chooses to do.Hell's Bells wrote:they shouldnt be - they are not counted anywhere else or is this just another s@@@2 D1AA thing...like keeping bad reffs around?grizband wrote:Playoff stats are actually counted when figuring career stats now. I like including them, but it also gives players who played on good teams more options to boost their stats. Imagine in Charles Roberts had played in the playoffs, how many rushing yards would he have had then.Hell's Bells wrote:i mean no insult to DD it just doesnt make any sence to me to include playoff stats in any statical analysisgrizband wrote:I think that the NCAA might have started keeping post season stats for all of their levels, but I could be wrong. Re: Dave Dickens TOTAL 1-AA stats!
These present days which I reside in your QB needs to not only toss the ball but run with it. comparing DDick to Lulay is like comparing Steve Young to Dan Marino. The defenses are much faster today than 10 years ago. Good stats, way to show your age!!!!bearBAC wrote:ursusmissoulus wrote:

Welcome to the University of Montana! The Dave Dickenson Chapel is around the next corner next to our big stadium, that's all you need to know! We convene there at least 5 times a day to bow to his photos and statistics. Education? No, sorry, we play sports here. Life? Only on Saturdays in the fall! Oh, and remember our UM motto - What Would Dave Do? Thanks for Visiting!
STOP LIVING IN THE PAST, you're pretty concerned with Lulay - a quarterback who is more heart than stats(which aren't too shabby to begin with). Dave is gone, he won't come back. Start boosting your current quarterbacks - they're young but they have potential. Sorry they're not Dave.
