Bobcat Football Sunday Notebook #9
MSU Bobcats Bobcat Football News : 2005-10-31 : Bozeman, MT
By Bill Lamberty

TEAM NOTES
When the Bobcats forced NAU to punt on the game’s opening drive it stopped a string of two straight games in which MSU’s opponent scored on the games first drive

The Bobcats have allowed three defensive scores this year, but Montana State’s defense has scored twice

Montana State has finished only one game positive in turnover margin this season

In spite of allowing an average of only 10.3 per second half this season, the ‘Cats have been outscored in five of the team’s eight second halves

Montana State recorded eight touchbacks in the first four games, none in the last four

The only punt Montana State has forced in the last two second halves came in Northern Arizona’s first third-quarter possession last week

After holding its first six opponents to below their previous season scoring average, the Bobcat defense has failed to do so in the last two games

The Bobcat offense has turned the ball over inside the opponent five yard line on the first possession twice in the last three games
What you gonna' do now?

Heh Heh. I was just going to say that... With those sloppy stats and the mistakes we've made, it's pretty impressive that we've only 1 conference loss. It's a good feeling to know that all of that is correctable and our best games are still to come! (And before all the Griz respond - I'll save you the trouble. Yes, I do think we've seen the best game you'll play all year - against PSU. Just mo opinion of course and we'll see if I'm right over the next 3 weeks. )

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

How bout these stats?

Cats 3-1
We are the #12 team in the nation.

Pretty hard to be #12 out of 117 if you are mediocre.

Looks like a slide to me.

Wow! No. 12, huh? But everyone has you rated lower than EWU, and if you place such trust in rankings, it looks like this Saturday will about be the end. And then of course there's that little game on the 19th with the 4th ranked team. Oh no!

Or what about 3 in a row on the road? Will you and your fellow trolls come back here if you guys struggle with Suc St. and NAU on the road? How about that last road game of the regular season?

Absolutely... to either gloat and be asked impolitely to leave, or to humbly eat crow.

Right......kind of like Scats and Bearbac came back after the EWU game?

Hopefully the team you support is just as arrogant as you and many other griz fans that post on this board. The humble pie has been long overdue for all of you. I'm just curious to see how your team performs away from the friendly confines of Dennis Washington Stadium.

If the bottom of the BSC barrel known as NAU or Suc State surprises you guys, I almost guarantee that none of you will be back.

You are so arrogant. I was on your boards a couple weeks ago when you guys fell all the way to nine and there was a ridiculous amount of bitching about it. I'm sure 106 other teams would gladly swap places with us. Just as your fellow friz said a couple weeks ago.

Unreal, many of you griz fans have one thing in common. Many of you live vicariously through your football team. If success does indeed breed contempt, then many of you griz fans are actually jealous of the team you support right? :)

I just do my best to keep MIRRORING you Kitties! :^o :bag:
That's the thing....you DO NOT show up when your jizz lose; case in point, you took a hiatus after EWU bitchslapped them.

You aren't mirroring anyone. You're the hypocrite who only shows up here when the a) Cats lose or b) they struggle with one of the BSC's cellar dwellars.

Your attempts at smack are weak and pathetic. Maybe you should hang 'em up, especially if your team struggles away from home against the BSC's cellar dwellars over the next 2 weeks.

How many posts have you made that did have some reference to MY team?
You're truly hopeless. I certainly hope your education and common sense wasn't obtained at the university you support. You certainly don't reflect too well.

Your team, my team. The use of the terms are irrelevant. Then again, you don't grasp points too well.

(beenridden)bearBac, you're certainly a legend in your own mind. Now get back to sniffing Lex's jock strap.

I thought it was common knowledge that bearBAC didn't even graduate high school let alone college...
