Look at LooLay go. Wait... it's DAVE!

From the Bozeman Chronicle:
“We can run for five (yards) or we can throw for five,” Kramer said. “No matter how good we are at the running game, we've never had a passing game this good. We're going to continue to utilize it, a lot in the fashion the University of Montana used their passing game with Dave Dickenson (who threw for a conference record 4,176 yards his senior year) in the mid 90s.

You have a classic case of "Lulay envy".

Unfortunately for you, it will only get worse before it gets better.
Make sure you stop by Bobcat Nation after the brawl.
Good luck this weekend!

MaZooLaGriz...........
Just so you know, it's okay to let everyone know your mother is a griz fan, however I would advise you to drop her mailing address. I don't think she would appreciate you letting everyone know she resides at the LA Zoo!
P.S. Tell Ma we heard the Bobcat stole her bananas!

If stats make the difference then it will be settled before Cat/griz since Lulay will have blown by Dicky by then, huh?

No disrespect intended, I'm sure. Mother jokes and references are common in smack talk. When you come on here and provoke other posters, mother smack is a near sure thing. I've seen it happen on virtually every internet forum I've ever taken part in.
If it is such an emotional topic for you, perhaps you should have warned us about it before you started jibbing on the boards. We try not to cross the line here at BN, so I can assure you that we will keep your sensitivities in mind in future correspondance.

I think most BN members would agree! He seems to have a chip on his shoulder and is only trying to provoke.

Unless you'd like to admit that the 'Cats these past four years are better then the teams Dave played on, then I'd have to say that Lulay has done more with less.....

Don't look now, but Lulay is going to pass ole Davey Dickenson (and he is/was an awesome QB) in total yards this weekend (He need 435 total yards or so).

Only becouse he'll need to play the entire game and rack up as many yard as possable.
Dave was 6-0 in his career against the bottom 2 BSC teams and only averaged 225 yards per game against the bottom feeds but then again Dave never had to play the 2nd half against bad teams since the Griz always had a 30 point lead at that point. (now thats a run on)

None taken... I was just clarifying that the "MaZooLa" didn't have anything to do with Mom. Well, come to think of it, I guess it did... born and raised, as they say. Thanks very much for the sensitivity, but she was a very old lady and had a timely parting.

A lot of Cat fans love to belittle Dave's accomplishments because he went to the CFL. The fact is, though, that while there is a
chance that Lulay will make it in the NFL, it is a
slim chance (look at all the other I-AA QBs who have been out of the league after a year or two on the bench, many of whom arguably had better college careers than Lulay).
You can talk smack about DD, but he has largely been the best QB in the CFL over the past few years. How confident are you, really, that Lulay will have had a better pro career than Dave ten years from now?

Anyone who belittles DD's accomplishments is either joking or doesn't know much about football.

The only reason he didn't have a solid NFL career IMO is because he wasn't given a real chance due to being a couple inches too short. I don't think anyone can seriously play down his accomplishments as a HS, College, and Pro QB. Regarding TL - tough to say if he has what it takes to play QB in the NFL. He's got the size, the athleticism, the brains, and the heart. Pure passing ability is probably his weakest trait - and even that is not too bad. He may fit nicely into some NFL team's system. Personally I'd be tickled to see him excel in the CFL and win the Gray Cup and POTY award like DD has done.

Pretty impressive that you actually know what team he's going to get picked up by halfway through his senior season. Do you think there's any chance that Atlanta will trade both Vick and Lulay to Chicago the year after next?
All kidding aside, here's a serious question: suppose Lulay has marginal NFL talent; i.e., he's good enough to be a career backup or third-stringer, but not to ever be a starter (I'm not saying this is the case, but just for the sake of argument, assume it is). What would you rather see Lulay do: play as a career backup in the NFL and get very little playing time, or go to the CFL and start (as DD has)?
